Robert Thomas probably not to far off but BLM are not at all whatsoever concerned with all that is going on in black communities. If they were we all would see a decline in black on black killings. This is absolutely shameful to hear everyday children be killed in a gang related crossfire. The truth is Dems and liberal politicians truly believe that if you’re black or any other type of minority you’re incompetent and always will need a handout and always has a blind eye to all that is happening in rial areas. Unfortunately, I say this in a general meaning y’all keep voting them into office. I’m not a Trump fan as him as a person but his policies and all that he stood for truly gave all the freedom to speak and focused on the issues. The left are the party of wokeness—“if you don’t agree with me thou shall be silenced!” Sadly no one speaks up, refusing to see and accept the truth.

Christopher Taylor from a journal on genealogy research:
"If you have found slave owners with the same or similar surname as the African-American ancestors you are searching for, and scoured their records, but have not found those ancestors, move on. If you have studied the ancestors thoroughly in their own 20th-century, late-19th-century and Reconstruction-era records, you’ll have a firm foundation for figuring out which slave owners’s records you should investigate next."

Now, there are a percentage of former slaves who "chose" a last name based on trade routes or location names, but it's about 25%.
And to assume that getting off a boat to freedom and getting freed from slavery are the same thing, is peak ignorance. But, keep acting like everyone is a fool but you. You will remain as I found you and Expire Infuriated. Toodles.

Black Americans File Federal Lawsuit Against NYC for Law Allowing Foreign Nationals to Vote

A handful of black Americans, residing in New York City, have filed a federal lawsuit against the city’s Board of Elections for a local law that would allow nearly a million foreign nationals to vote in citywide elections. New York City has approximately five million active registered voters. The addition of approximately one million foreign-citizen voters could potentially make up almost 20 percent or more of the electorate in future New York City elections. This is greater than the margin of victory in many municipal elections. [Emphasis added. The federal lawsuit brought by black Americans is the third to challenge the law but the first that asks the federal courts to intervene in blocking its implementation. The case is Coachman v. the City of New York, No. 1:22-cv-05123 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York
