America is a huge commercial, here it is seen via word of mouth, which America touts, is the best country in the world. All can be achieved in America, mostly freedom and the American dream. This is why they come. When you try to keep them out, it only reinforces their belief that America is the land of opportunity. Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, are all much better countries. Seeking asylum is cheaper than a passport. These people are not rich, that is why they use the very legal asylum route. They are poor, ran by drug lords, family members killed by drug lords, they want freedom too.

Why are expats moving to horrible places with no freedom and murderous drug lords then? Which is it? Asylum seekers are supposed to go to the next safest place available. You don’t get to go through all these other safe areas that you could seek asylum in and go to some other place of your choosing.
