When something is so horrible that it enters another level of awfulness (and the govt (I mean republican senators) maintains that the second amendment is more important than the lives of children), some people turn to charlatans to make sense of the situation. The govt (Republicans) does business (by accepting money) with the NRA and gun makers to prevent restrictions of guns and allow mass shootings. There really is a deal, but not the deal that Alex Jones says. Jones makes megabucks from his snake oil salesman type of job. Snake oil salesmen jobs, like preachers, fake medicine peddlers, etc. are very much part of human culture, kind of showing how people are weak. Of course ban him, fine him, lock him up, etc. He's a phony, and cruel.

Sara Sherman Alex Jone’s actions are uniquely abusive and likely traumatizing to the victims who are now victims twice.

I have another question to pose here. Are the consequences of Jone’s disinformation comparable to the actions of MAGA opinion leaders? Considering January 6th and the continued sentiment that violence is warranted in democratic elections. These MAGA leaders and their followers are spiraling in a toxic feedback loop fueled by conspiracy theory, hate, and violent ideation. Leaders must be made an example of. That goes for Trump, Bannon, Graham, Carlson and the rest. Stop talking about riots, goading people on, and manifesting more violence into this already struggling world!

Neo-Nazi Who Killed Charlottesville Protester Is Sentenced To Life In Prison

The man who drove his car into a crowd of anti-racist protesters in Charlottesville, Va., killing one person and injuring 35 has been sentenced to spending the rest of his life in prison.

A federal judge issued the sentence of life without the possibility of parole on Friday for self-proclaimed neo-Nazi James Fields Jr., 22, of the Toledo, Ohio, area.

The judge's punishment, announced in a Charlottesville courtroom, came after numerous survivors delivered emotional testimony about the psychological and physical toll the attack caused.

After the hearing, prosecutors described the 2017 attack as heinous.

"It was cold-blooded. It was motivated by deep-seated racial animus," Thomas Cullen, U.S. attorney for the Western District of Virginia, told reporters. He said Fields' lethal car-plowing was calculated, calling it "a hate-inspired act of domestic terrorism."

"Charlottesville is never going to be the same," Cullen said. "It will be with this community, and the commonwealth of Virginia, and this country, for a long time."

The law states that all the documents that exist at the end of a presidency belong to NARA, not to the FORMER president. When he left office he took boxes of documents at various levels of classification. In January, NARA contacted Trump asking for all the records he had in his possession. He returned about 15 boxes and said that was all he had. NARA was still missing documents so they contacted him again. In May, Trump hands over a small envelope of classified material and has his attorney sign an affidavit that this was all the materials. However, NARA gets information that there are more materials. They issued a subpoena to get the other documents. Trump ignored the subpoena thus making NARA get a warrant for the missing documents. We all saw the example of materials that were found when the warrant was served. He had classified documents which numbered at 184 classified, 67 confidential, and 25 top secret. So please tell me how he is innocent when he is not supposed to have any documents. Trump had these documents for over 18 months and they were not in a secure location. Anyone could have gotten access to those documents who had access to Mar-a-largo. That is 18 months of our nation’s secrets being accessible for purposes of espionage. By the way, you initially brought up another story different from the original Alex Jones story. Facts are facts, dude.
