2ºCanada is full of sane, rational people but if you've never visited you'll never know. We also have a giant Psyanka egg (Ukranian Easter egg), an official UFO landing site, an air force base that was big enough any Challenger space craft could have landed on if they had to abort their trip. We have wild horses, bison, grizzly bears, cariboo, moose, Great Horned Owls and even Coywolves (yep it's an actual animal - google it) and NO we don't live in igloos (get asked that by Americans many times). We know more about American history than Americans know about Canadian history. It's a great country with great people. Canadians will look you in the eye and say hello when passing you on a walk (when I've done that in the US the people look shocked I acknowledged them). You guys have a salmon going thru the corner of a building in Oregon, a knotted gun (that's not a surprise though), a "cloud gate" in Chicago, a giant fork in Missouri to name a few. So actually we aren't any weirder than the US.
