1ºThis is just a money grab by state governments. The overdose deaths from opioids is higher than ever and it's not caused by prescription opioids. It never was. They never produced stats on how many people were overdosing on oxycontin. Most deaths were caused by methadone and xanax and/or mixing it all with alchohol. Nowadays, the majority of the deaths are because of fentanyl. But the DEA and CDC could never produce stats proving that it was these prescriptions. And so the people who really needed oxycontin had to just suffer. Many killed themselves. And the state governments get rich. smh.
