Putin is hoping the Lower Kherson becomes 'Coffin Corner' for Ukraine. Russia had its back against the wall in the Lower Ukraine as there are a very limited number or roads for Russia to fall back into Crimea on.
The life blood of the Lower Kherson is the road that runs along the coastline from Melitopol to Mariupol.

На днях о не менее масштабных увольнениях объявила Meta/Facebook. Там уволят аж 13 тысяч работников - тоже в основном менеджеров и айтишников. Сокращения в Facebook затронут 10% от всего занятого у них персонала - и многие перспективные проекты компании будут закрыты.
Вовсю увольняют сотрудников и другие представители IT-пузыря, который нынче лопается - Coinbase, Robinhood, Netflix, Peloton. Но именно сокращения в Amazon - ритейловом гиганте - так ещё и преддверии рождественского сезона, когда люди массово закупаются подарками, могут стать предзнаменованием очень неприятных событий.
Формально экономика США пока растёт - хоть и в основном за счёт лишь сланцевой индустрии. Безработица тоже находится на довольно низком уровне - правда, уже начинает расти. Однако в следующем году экономисты прогнозируют почти гарантированное наступление рецессии.
