So you ask why doesn’t this violate Article 1, Section 10 of the Constitution? Well it is Civil and it is not criminal. But it has the impact of a criminal conviction. So I suspect we should charge the New York Legislature with Treason. Of course New York is loaded down with Western Europeans who don’t have governments with limitations or restrictions on power. It’s like creating criminal law that goes back to punish the LGBT bribed Democrats who violated Supreme Court rulings by dumping LGBT literature into public schools. We have outcomes where children committed suicide because of this. Doing the same thing, I bet magically Article 1, Section 10 suddenly exits.

You generalize NYC stats and a Seattle reference to a universal and imply that ER visits (the article refers to the Me Too movement as impetus) mean more sexual assaults rather than people actually using community resources in response to sexual assaults. Previously, many survivors may have neglected to report or get treatment as they often do.

I have no skin in this game. It seemed the original poster wanted to make a political statement that had little to do with supporting victims. But yes, you’ve shown that NYC in July has a crime wave, and that ER visits for sexual assaults are up.

Thank you for the references.
