Jillian Reynolds, I agree with you 100%. My response was to the comment that "you have to." No, I don't have to. If you want to, that's fine, but I don't have to do it that way. There is more than one way to accomplish a task. Your way doesn't have to be mine. And I stand by my statement. While a parent doesn't have to regret anything in these situations....I am confident that "at least I didn't over shelter my child" would NOT be something that reduces their pain at all. <-- Nothing about that statement says this girl's parents did or did not over shelter. Again condolences and prayers for them. I feel for them and their family.

Susan Santora McArthur not that this would be a good reason for what he did but I read in some comments at first someone said they heard that he accidentally ran over her in the FedEx truck and then freaked out and disposed of her body. I don't think that's the case though because they charged him with kidnapping as well. That wouldn't have been ok but it would have been an accident and a terrible decision. I think you are correct and he's just another evil person taking advantage of a child for some sick purpose we will never understand.

This disgusting sh*t , perpetrated by males has gone on since the beginning of man, and it's still going on to our daughter's, mothers, sisters, female children and females of any age! Abuse of children and women is not punished severely enough. No it won't end these putrid acts but enacting extremely severe penalty might made some males think twice, or a least when caught keep them behind bars for good. To every mother, father, sister, brother, and any relative who has this happen to their innocent love one I pray and call out for more to be done. I do not even know the words of condolence that could be said. It's was past time for action to be taken.

People watch your kids! No reason why a stranger can get this close to our children in our own home! Talk to your kids and teach them about the dangers that are out there. They will learn to be alert. My kids we're always told.... DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR FOR ANYONE YOU DON'T KNOW!" IF YOU KNOW THEM AND IM NOT HOME, YOU CALL ME AND PUT THEM ON THE PHONE. I would immediately send that person on his way. No one could come in if I wasn't home. Not even family. My job was not to be liked, but to protect my kids from any possibility of harm. And I told them the truth as to why that rule existed.

Jerry Villarreal I’m 35. I still remember the license plate number as do some of my sisters for a pair of men in a white van trying to lure my sister into it. A couple years later, that same sister was almost lured away by a neighborhood pervert who asked her to go walk his dog with him. I had a bad feeling and made her and our friends leave his presence. That same man was found in the back seat of a car in the neighborhood with a different little girl a couple months later. We called the police on him several times bc he kept coming by our house, sitting on our porch and rolling around in our yard with his dog. This has always happened. The difference now is that we see more stories between the news coverage and social media.

A month after the signing of #Pretoria #peace deal between #Ethiopia and the #TPLF and the follow up #Nairobi agreement,
#Tigray army commander General Taddesse Werede said about 60-65% of his army have been relocated away from front lines and in some areas heavy weapons are collected in one place as part of the agreement.
He said this speaking to Tigray state TV today. In relocating, Werede said “we are paying sacrifices” without giving specifics.

“Disarming of the heavy weapons will be done concurrently with the withdrawal of #Eritrean and #Amhara forces from Tigray”, said the General who accused both forces for continued killings, raping, and burning in areas they control.

He said Eritrean forces continue to loot freshly harvested crops from farmers or burning threshing piles even before straw and grain are separated.
Tigray’s major harvest months are November and December vital for both annual human food and animal feed in the region.

Crime of opportunity. Sue FedEx for hiring this guy. Maybe FedEx should pay better wages in order to hire people they background check, drug test and fingerprint. Better wages makes loyal employees and retains a better quality of candidates. De@th penalty for this guy. He saw an opportunity to grab this child, for whatever perverted thoughts he had and k'lled her. Her poor parents and family. My heart breaks for them. No amount of money with make this ever be right but it can and should change how employers like FedEx, UPS, Amazon and others hire contract workers. Just looking at this guy I would not have hired him. He gives off a bad vibe and I am sure he did when interviewed. Just like the Walmart worker who reported the guy who sh0t up the break room. Walmart management just ignored what was plain to see.

I don't blame the parents, but I do wonder why anyone lets their kid play alone outside, even on a fenced yard.
Kidnappers, serial killers, child molestors, and psychos of all kind have been around for a long time, and thanks to social media, it's constants news that another person, or child has been kidnapped, and it's missing or found death.
Why take a chance with your little ones?
I have a fenced yard, and an 11 year old, and she doesn't play outside alone, for no reason. And we don't have a huge problem of that here, but guess what? My child won't be the bait to find the crazies in the area. Some people are evil, and most of the times that these things happen, are due to opportunity. The kidnapper sees an opportunity and takes it.
Please don't give it to them.
Again, even if it sounds like it, I don't blame the parents, but I'm sure they will carry guilt forever thinking of how it could've been avoided, because it could've been.
RIP little angel.

Jamie Maine supposedly he already confessed. Give him a fair trial, if convicted by a jury then everyone walks out and convenes behind the courthouse and proceed with a public hanging. Or better yet, maybe one of the parents gets a good bead on him during a jail transfer and takes him out swiftly. Who’s going to convict them for a righteous kill, it’s Texas. Or even better hang him out naked in a field of rodeo bulls and watch them have target practice with their horns. I know what I would do if it was my child. What kind of monsters lurk among us?!?!

10ºEric Drake no. My comment is to the you can't let them out of your site and you can. I stand by that. I would let my 7 year old play in my yard and I would go inside if I needed the bathroom or to check on dinner there is nothing wrong with that. Those parents should be able to let their child be in their yard no guilt. My kids are older now and I don't precisely remember when I completely let them play outside without me but for sure at 7 they would have some time without me watching. 10 years yeah I would not go outside with them. 5 I was out with them so between 6-9 they are getting more time on their own. It's a natural progression. The majority of kids are not getting trafficked off their own lawns. Yes, it can happen but you can't overreact by never letting them out of your site in your own property.
