1ºHere’s the reality, probably 80% of those who watched this loss today will not watch another soccer game until 2026 when the US is back in the World Cup.
Soccer simply is not a big sport in the United States after the youth level.  To expect us to compete at a high-level versus these countries where it’s a national obsession is unfair.
I think we are what we are. I think we’re capable of making it to  the knockout rounds, but once we’re up against the big boys, the mediocrity of our national team is quickly exposed and I haven’t seen much in the way of any improvement in the past 20 years.
2ºCNN...if you have a way to get this to the coach, let him know that Tim Weah, is not a winger, he's more of a central striker because of his ability to shoot at goal, he should be switched to playing on top as the main striker, and only then will we see goals raining in from him. Overall, this game exposed so many things on the part of the USA, no sense of urgency, constantly kicking the ball back to their own goalie as opposed to going forward in attack, the players lacked that killer punch when in position to score, loose marking of opponents in the danger zone, players were way too casual on the ball...their approach bore a resemblance of high school football. Basically played without purpose. Telling the truth only helps.
3ºEven though the score doesn’t reflect the total game, the US never gave up and they really did put it to the Dutch. they had the ball most of the game and we’re really good on their passes made lotta shots but they just couldn’t get them in the goal. On the other hand the Dutch made a couple of long shots that manage to get in and I’m not really saying they weren’t good because they were. The Netherlands has a really good team every time they’re in the World Cup. We were just hoping to see the US advance further. The team is young and in four years hopefully they’ll be back more skilled on the defense.
4ºActually beyond my expectation Americans are doing good. Netherlands is one of the best team in the world but they make them look like underdog.
American players are the youngest in this world cup and they lack experience yet they perform very well. It was their inexperience that make them fail to guard the attackers position and let them score goals.
By 2026 they will have enough experience and they can easily beat Netherlands judging by the way they play. Besides, they will play in your home turf by 2026 and they will have more confidence. So, expect for 2026 to be the best performance for the US.

I would be arrogant to feel that the US was not part of North America because then It would make me superior to Canadians and Mexicans. But being a rational and fact driven person, I know that US is part of North America, because it is a fact.

7ºRick's H'kip Tbf the thing is that ya'll didnt chance tactics during the game thats what got you knocked out. Louis v gaal instructed at first to play on the counter cuz ya'll like to run as crazy mindless robots. 2nd half louis v gaal made 2 substitutions wich gave us more attacking power. Since we had two goals, usa hat to attack even more, you make 1 but still need 1 at least and keep on running thats where we have the advantage more energy at the end and more attacking power wich resulted very fast in 3-1.
Your team needs more games together wich will created better chemistry but its the tactics that needs to level up. If ya'll dont evolve your football then 2026 will just be a deception for you. Why you think its always europe or a south american country that gets crowned as world champion? Football is in our blood!
8ºMichael Sellars dude, please. I know the game is huge! I am a daughter of an Italian immigrant. My entire life I only knew Calcio, Italian word for soccer. My dad had a Trans oceanic radio to listen to the games in real time from Italy. I had children, and soccer is huge for kids here. I live in Pittsburgh and we have the Riverhounds pro team that did very well this year and have their own stadium! I KNOW SOCCER.
