The opposition party BNP wanted to hold a divisional party conference in Nayapaltan on December 10, in front of BNP's headquarters. BNP supporters had been gathering since December 7, so the police and government got afraid if BNP captured the state administration on December 10! So, the police are attacking the supporters of the opposition, which is not good in a democratic country. One BNP supporter was killed by Bangladeshi police. Police would use force after December 10 if the BNP would not vacate the Nayapaltan road.
