1ºI am a human being just like all who have engaged in this conversation Stella. The beautiful item I can ascribe to is we all have the capability of freedom to voice our own opinions/perspectives on matters...and try to be civil doing so. I am retired military who lives in central Europe and see what this is doing to folks here. My neighbor and elderly farmer with his wife I check on frequently because they are burning wood and coal this year to defray the cost of using electricity or gas to heat their small home. I am concerned about them as he is a good man and has helped me out alot on my land here in his country. And done so without asking much...he doesn't have alot of money. I tried to give him some money to help him out but will not take such I suppose as a matter of pride. I respect that. And also feel a responsibility to to what I can when I can for them. Sneaking food or whatnot on the steps when he and her are gone. :) That's what I'm getting at here...people like this are the ones who have no options to buy fancy eco-green systems ect. And have to be the ones who bare such burden of such ideology. They don't complain but neither should they suffer due to what is now a fantasy that doesn't help them one bit in the basic human needs of survival

3ºGreen deal honestly is a fantasy... especially when the world gets "real" in the aspects such as wars that change the entire philosophical idealistic viewpoints. In short the world is not ready nor equipped for the green utopia currently..and do not see it pragmatically be so for many years to come. You see when situations happen and there is crisis in energy issues you definitely do not see such capable of stepping up and filling the void for the fossil fuels some scream about. Pragmatism and practicality vs some sort of dream that cannot still be conceptualized for tangible use. And some will still haw over it...but then again if you are one of those people who by the elements need to heat your home and secure your families well being of the basic need of warmth while trying to survive everything else in needs due to high costs...well? Moralistic conscious of it truly gives way to the basic human needs to survive.
4ºThe green deal is drought with so many rules and regulations in Europe it's hilarious at times. And the world? John you do know the biggest carbon footprint countries are the Chinese and India...and both refuse to adhere to any such deal. So how does that work? And the US does take steps to reduce it's carbon footprint already. Which is good. But explain to me please how the green deal currently helps people who have to resort back to other fuels they have been hell-bent on banning? Ironic last summer Germany quietly re opened coal mines due to reality. Ideology is great...but it has to pass reality of pragmatic benchmarks to pass in being effective/successful..and in this matter it has failed to do so
5ºJean Israelson tell me how right now you "change" anything? Seems a little elitist of one to think one will let their families freeze by not using fossilized fuels due to an Ideology. Until new technology is introduced and implemented in a effective manner guess what dear fossilized fuels are still needed. It saddens me the lack of humanity for those who think they are somewhat being humane for the planet. Contradiction of terms to myself. Just being real with the matter right now in how green is a fantasy currently...as this world crisis has put it to the test and it has failed to meet the bar. Listen if you want to make some sort of alternative solution here that maybe I'm not thinking of please do...other than that you want to hold to such a perspective then I suggest you go first in applying your convictions and freeze first. When ideology and morality doesn't matter to the pragmatic practical point of a situation. Green just got tested and it has definitely failed for now. Like I said years down the road maybe it can be conceptualized into a tangible point of totally getting rid of suchlike energy sources. But not now and it will take years more to do so. So yes it is in a fantasy mode of the point. Maybe new fusion tech changes this but like I said there will be some years to implement it to be effective
