If India is importing intermediates from China, its the problem of past Govt's for not encouraging the local companies .. Since past 4 years 100+ indian companies and contract manufacturers are manufacturing and exporting chemical intermediates however, the cost is still high as compared to china manufacturers... Intermediate manufacturing Indian companies are trying to cut the cost. Therefore, in the coming years cost may go down.
