3ºThe words that go around in Asia is that the US is in the process of making Taiwan into another Ukraine. Except Japan and Taiwan, no other Asian countries want to see this happen. Is the rules based order to be forced upon others against their wishes ? Tsai Ing Wen and her DPP government have become very unpopular to the Taiwanese people because of their subservience to the American cause. There's no way they can be reelected come 2024. That's a certainty. The Taiwanese in general don't want war but the status quo which cannot be achieved by continually provoking Beijing in collaboration with the US.

6ºMore importantly What are the Democrats doing to lower the prices of groceries and gasoline. They say they have plans and have had a chance to work on it for over a year now and well the only thing the Democrats have accomplished is to cause prices to continue to rise and those wonderful pay raises they claim to have gotten for everyone well those raises are well gone because of the rise in energy and grocery increased prices. Don't say corporate greed. Because if that is the actual causes then how come Democrats are not doing anything about it. Just trying to force the rich to pay more in taxes (which will not work anyway) that does nothing to help the poor and middle class at the grocery lines.
7ºINteresting situation because Taiwan already has a high millitary budget. I'd be curious to know if these deals are congress, approved by the Defense intelligence agency or a MIC subsidy. The island is alreday millitaried to a lesser extent than Saudi Arabia. SPecialist equipment like ANti missile systems are more critical with exepnsive densely populated cities.
20 billion is small compared to China but the island is tiny and sieable compared to other governemnts. GDP per capita, millitary build up and millitariaion count for alot. A modern professional defense force with authouritarian leanings against the PLA Maoist doctrine more akin to civil defense and national service with a MIC on the cusp of moving into cutting edge space technology and fighter jets.
