Congress passed a 4,000-page, $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill to fund the federal government through next September. The bill was chalked full of wasteful left-wing spending at a time when the country is grappling with rampant inflation caused by runaway government spending. During an appearance on Fox News, Tulsi Gabbard ripped Senate Democrats and RINOs who completely ignored border security in the omnibus bill. Gabbard, who left the Democrat Party over its left-wing drift, said the top priority of the federal government was to protect the country. ‘We don’t have a country if we don’t have a secure border,’ Gabbard said. ‘Well, there’s about $1.5 billion there that’s been set aside for Customs and Border Protection, border security. Although increased funding for the Border Patrol was included in the bill, it was prohibited from being used for border security. Instead, it was earmarked for helping the Border Patrol process the record number of illegal aliens invading the country. While Congress is not willing to do what is necessary to secure our own border and support the needs of the American people right here at home.
