I’m glad they’re finally showing everyone, what’s been happening down here for years & has gotten worse the past couple of years. Everyone needs to see the conditions & maybe it’ll change. No answer yet... but please play the whataboutism game because this topic is about migrants and how certain people feel bad, but not bad enough to do anything but still complain about how bad their lives are. 4ºJenifer Kasten Johnson and our sitting government is encouraging them to come get help, through a dangerous and deadly maze. It’s almost like baiting a fish hook. When we fail to uphold our country’s laws, they notice. And they try to come over. When Trump put strict immigration policies in place, illegal immigration crossings dropped dramatically. This means people knew that trying to break into the country was a slim chance and they either stayed in their country or they applied for asylum at a port of entry. That’s called saving lives. Democrats don’t mind killing people in order to spin it to make the right look bad.
5ºUS NEEDS A NEW DEFENSE OTHER.... MUST FIND A WAY TO SHARE ITS SECURITY BURDEN WITH OTHER WEST COUNTRIES ......
How could other NATO members not be interested in rapidly upgrading the security, but chose to rely on US technology only ... This is most risky...These countries must look at Israel....at a time China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, etc try to outsmart US...and even steal from US technology.
Also, along US Southern borders, the same scenario is playing out...how does US not see the threat there...where every South American and Caribbean countries are trying to offload their population on US...
BOTH CASES MUST BE SEEN AS US EXISTENTIAL THREAT.
US must shut down its South Border completely with every defense empowerment it could muster....AND DIRECT EVERY NATO COUNTRY to develop its military weaponry at a rate commensurate with those of China, Russia, etc...in each countries technology.
South Korea must be directed to outclass the North Militarily...not wait for US to defend every country WITH SAME TECHNOLOGY....
Australia, Japan, all West European NATO COUNTRIES also ... should show aggressive weapon development as in China., Russia, NJ , Iran....etc.
The West countries must adopt ISRAEL DEFENSE TYPE ARCHITECTURE.... SOONEST.
6ºDan Pind I blame past administrations as well as the present one. IF we truly had a border policy, the border would be closed, those who are already here placed on the path to citizenship, and then gradually open the gates and CONTROL the numbers. I do feel for those wanting to escape. But I also know that if we do not remain financially strong, we just give false hopes to those. EX: All of those who have been bused over just the last two years. Where are they? Food? Work? Housing? If so, who is paying for it. Then at the same time we have homeless Americans comprised of kids, seniors, military, etc. It is not selfish to take care of us FIRST. Being strong enables those coming here to make a better life. I'm sick of Congress..present and past because they give these families FALSE HOPE by just letting them walk into the country. The Homeland Security Administrator is and has been a complete failure and embarrassment to our country. He INSISTS that the border is not open and is under control.
7ºWait! I thought Biden and Mayorkas Homeland Security Secretary stated the border is closed. Last weekend 16,000+ unvaccinated illegal immigrants crossed the southern border. El Paso Texas 15 Dec 2,500+ unvaccinated illegal immigrants cross the border! Each illegal immigrant gets clothing, money, housing and free transportation to wherever they want to go. Who pays for this? The taxpayers. 4+ million illegal immigrants have crossed the border since Biden took office and there was another 1+ million got-always. That many coming across the southern border illegally puts a significant strain on our healthcare system, supply system, housing, food system, schools, city budgets and is a NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE. Biden and Mayorkas must be changing the meaning of CLOSED or they are incompetent.

9ºAndre Ace let's change the subject, fine. What punishment should be cast on those who are caught illegally obtaining, carrying and using firearms?
If guns are "SO BAD", what severe punishment should be given to those who are unauthorized to have a firearm? Based on most of the anti gun people, guns are bad so they should come with a severe punishment, example 10 year mandatory prison sentence, and 10 additional years for each round. So are illegally owned guns worth that type of punishment? You need to setup parameters before you go after the pro gun cities and law abiding carriers.
10ºasylum seekers or migrants? those coming here to seek asylum for economic issues will be denied and deported (it's not a cause for asylum to be granted). migrants/immigrants are not allowed in without first going through the immigration application process in their home country. most of these people will be deported; they are just here for their American taxpayer holiday. and we are supposed to feel bad because we're not footing the bill for the Ritz-Carlton? plenty of countries closer to where they are migrating that can grant they asylum or immigration - but, they are here because they were told we would give them more. this nonsense needs to be stopped at the source, not at our border.
