Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler accused of sexual assault of a teen in the 1970s

A woman has filed a lawsuit against Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, alleging sexual assault, coercion of an abortion and involuntary infamy in the 1970s when she was a minor and he was in his mid-20s.

I agree with the majority of these comments that it is just a woman who sees opportunity to make some big bucks.

Oh well. We have watched this overzealous "cancel culture" crap ruin a lot of lives recently. Now let's see it through on someone extremely popular and generally considered to be a great guy. I want them to make him penniless and put him in prison just like Cosby. Remove all his music from every platform and shame anyone who plays it. Complete erasure where Aerosmith doesn't exist anymore. And I want everyone to be mad about it. Maybe we will finally admit that this nonsense has gotten way out of hand.

I just read a little more, and they were in a relationship.. Her parents were ok with the fact that they were dating, after SHE went back stage of one of his concerts.. No where in the story does it state that she was forcibly taken and supposedly they dated for 3 years.. So, I'm saying she was where she wanted to be, doing what she wanted to do.. Now all of the sudden, after it was known for all these years, she wants to play victim, I'm supposed to feel bad for her?? What if they would've married?? Which happened a lot back in the day.. The parents gave permission to Steven to allow her to accompany him to numerous places.. I just don't see the injustice..

And it sounds like you might want to read the article because running away with the band is exactly what she did when her mom signed over guardianship to Steven Tyler. Said girl gets backstage Lord knows how at the first show parties it up with the band and many other girls I imagine who might have been "underage" as well or whatever then she follows the band to the next show and gets on the tour bus with them to get there then the Mom signs over guardianship. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm all for the me too movement but this ain't it. End of story

This does not sound right to me. It doesn't feel right. Especially her statement. Why is it relevant to a legal case?

“I want this action to expose an industry that protects celebrity offenders, to cleanse and hold accountable an industry that both exploited and allowed me to be exploited for years, along with so many other naïve and vulnerable kids and adults,”

We all know this. It's still exploiting minors right now.

“The complaint that has been prepared by my legal team recites in legal terms the trajectory of my life from early struggles to exploitation by Steven Tyler, the music industry, my escape from that world, my recovery and transformation, my restoration of spirit through faith, the building of a family and the rebuilding of my life,” Misley said in a statement.

Um... that's great. I'm really happy that she's overcome whatever she has overcome. Restoration of spirit through faith? Why the heck is the legal case recounting the story of her restoration through faith?

If this is about telling her story, that's important. In court though?

Jayne Lee I wonder how they met? I wonder if big famous rock star Steven Tyler took time out of his busy tour schedule *just* to go find a naive, young girl to deliberately exploit. Or I wonder if she was one of dozens who fought to get backstage, throwing themselves at him every night? Gee, I wonder. It's rock and roll. I realize that in the uptight, post me-too bs world we live in now its hard to believe that rock stars used to f**k like they were living in a perpetual Roman orgy, but they did and no one cared.
Bottom line she's exploiting a law meant to protect those who were victims of *actual* abuse, not former groupies looking for a quick payday.

I was raised by lower income parents during a time when most everyone treated each other with respect. We didn't eat a lot of fast food because it was considered a treat, not a food group. We drank Kool-Aid made from water that came from our kitchen sink with real sugar. We ate bologna sandwiches, or even tuna (which was in a can not a pouch), PB&J & grilled cheese sandwiches, hot dogs, pot pies, but mostly homemade meals consisting of mainly dough, meat, potatoes, vegetable, bread & butter, and homemade dessert.
We grew up during a time when we mowed lawns, pulled weeds, babysat, helped neighbors with chores to be able to earn our own money. we went outside a lot to play games, ride bikes, red rover, dodge ball, run with siblings and friends & played hide and seek. We drank tap water from the hose outside... bottled water was unheard of. If we had a coke -it was in a glass bottle ... and we took the empties back to the store for a 5 cent deposit.
We watched TV shows like Bonanza, Leave It To Beaver, Gilligan's Island, Happy Days, Bewitched, The Brady Bunch, Little House On The Prairie, and I Love Lucy. After school, we came home and did homework and chores before going outside or having friends over. We would ride our bikes for hours. We had to tell our parents where we were going, who we were going with, and what time we'd be back.
You LEARNED from your parents instead of disrespecting them and treating them as if they knew absolutely nothing. What they said was LAW and you did not question it, and you had better know it!!!
When the sun was starting to set you had better be home. In school we said the Pledge of Allegiance, we stood for the National Anthem and listened to our teachers.
We watched what we said around our elders because we knew if we DISRESPECTED any grown-up we would get our behinds whipped, it wasn't called abuse, it was called discipline! We held doors, carried groceries and gave up our seat for an older person without being asked. You didn't hear curse words on the radio in songs or TV, and if you cursed and got caught you had a bar of soap stuck in your mouth and had to stand in the corner. “Please, Thank you, yes please no thank you were part of our daily vocabulary!
You grew up to respect the Nation, the flag, and the President, NO MATTER who it was or what party they were from.

Re-post if you're thankful for your childhood and will never forget where you came from & the time you came from! Wouldn't it be nice if it were possible to get back to this way of life? I really liked that life!!!!!!!!! Copied but hit the nail on the head!y
