This popular European country just got a new currency

As well as changing its currency, Croatia also joined the Schengen area -- the bloc of 26 countries that has done away with border checks within Europe, making it the largest border-free area in the world.

1ºOn Friday, an ex-staffer for Democrat Congresswoman Katie Porter (CA-45) went public with allegations that Porter made racist comments to members of her staff, and "ridiculed people for reporting sexual harassment." In the days since this report, the big three networks (ABC, CBS, & NBC) ignored the news of Porter's toxic work environment during their morning and evening broadcasts on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Instead of reporting Porter’s apparent racial slurs and other inappropriate comments against her staff, on Monday evening the three nightly newscasts (ABC's World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News) covered a scaffolding collapse in Charlotte, North Carolina (ABC & NBC), and actor Jeremy Renner’s injury in a snow plow accident (CBS). Apparently, those stories were bigger news than a recently reelected Democrat congresswoman using racial slurs when talking to her staff. You can bet that if a Republican was accused of this behavior, it would be covered on every morning and evening newscast on all three networks.
