This is so sad for Delta. When people want to know who you are you have to tell them. Even when riding in a bus singing "Build Me Up Buttercup"

But yes this is sad, I'd point out runways almost never ice over in Florida but surely would have in 1899 if airports existed then and probably did in the January 1985 cold snap, where Pensacola recorded 6 degrees as a low.

So it does get cold in Florida. Our agriculture developed similar to California, at least on the Peninsula, but this is not California weather you get here, the Panhandle has more brutal winters than the San Francisco Bay area and they do have wildfires in Cali, but almost always our summers are more uncomfortable.

The water is warm year round South Florida, and about 8 months in the Panhandle, the water in California is always cold but you don't get hurricanes for that reason.
