To me the reality of the situation is the 20 freedom caucus republicans are part of the hold up and looking more foolish as time goes by but they are only 20 votes. The democrats are voting for someone who has 0% chance of winning. We have things that need to be taken care of. At this point why not find the republican they believe can cross the aisle more than the others and let's get this thing moving. If they aren't careful they may wind up with someone like Jim Jordan as Speaker, someone they absolutely would not want. Time for everyone to grow up! Just the thought of one American who would like to see more unity and ️ this year!

We elect officials who hopefully uphold the morals and values they stood for when campaigning. These 20 Republicans are standing their ground because they have a backbone. Now McCarthy wants to try and ‘bully’ these people into changing their minds. WTH????
Maya Angelou said it best…..Believe people for who they are the first time!!!

McCarthy has shown everyone how 2 faced he is.
For the love of this country nominate another person!!

For those of you that are interested in astrology or understand it, mercury is in retrograde right now until January 18 so we shouldn’t expect anything less then chaos and miscommunication.

Roy Ganga yeah... like who? If there was a clear leader among them we wouldn't be having this problem. There is a TOTAL lack of leadership in the Republican party. They've passed the buck so long that they're totally clueless about who actually has some backbone among them.

And the Republican "base" needs to understand that Congress isn't supposed to look like their favorite reality TV show! "Republic"ans they are not! What do they even stand for? They treat everything like a wrestling/boxing match and cheer for whoever throws the best punch, until the next person who throws a "good" punch. Absolutely no concept of what it means to be a leader or a team player.

We had a functional Congress last week with a Democratic majority. This is like inviting kids from a kindergarten to a Ph.D. class. All they know how to do is draw and throw boogers at each other, unless the teacher is showing them the alphabet and telling them to line up for recess.

Guys.. If you analyze this post closely you will discover two important details...

One is the selective use of colloquial abstract representation of normative words owing to the distinction in regulatory and derogatory affirmative relations to binary sentences. This paragit eschatology is nimbus to my blankata as l try to scrutinize the pelagic fanatic meliorate sepetication, l filomy selaque elucidate prudie of cremise alosis. In short and less deeper english let me say l celesidate accume fatuous eloquently the derminor as l agrandize and aggravate felony. Russell Godwin good thing they “caved in” cause the country would be in shutdown right now. You made my point: the minority blocking all progress is why the republicans are a dying party.

Why should 20 republicans decide how everything works? Those 20 make up less then 10% of the republican constituents.

Democrats have worked with the republicans plenty. One of the reasons Kevin isn’t getting it is cause he is willing to be bipartisan. That’s how government works.

The MAGA cult are ruining everything. They have since 2016.

What I want is what the majority want. It’s why democrats have won 3 elections in a row. Maybe the republicans should try giving the majority what they want. Just sauinf

-The Speaker does not personally preside over debates; instead, the task is delegated to other members.
Rebels voted in congress still Without a speaker 90% of Republican says GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy for speaker
The Constitution authorizes the House of Representatives to elect its own Speaker. The Speaker's powers as presiding officer are extensive; he or she controls the course of debate and enforces the rules of the House. Normally, the Speaker does not personally preside over debates; instead, the task is delegated to other members. The Speaker is also the head of his/her party (which has always been the majority party) in the House, outranking the Majority Leader (or the Minority Leader if a member of the minority party, but this has never been the case)
