1ºRyan Surtin Im not scared of innovation.. in fact I support it entirely, battery operated electric vehicles are not new, in fact, they were some of the first automobiles ever made. "If you had been alive a century or so ago" , or if you educated yourself, you would already know that. There are many problems here, you know what they are, but to be cool, you refuse to accept them. They are NOT green, or helping the environment, in fact they are a disaster in progress. Mining for battery materials to start with, look up the facts on that operation, then tell me your plug in EV is green. Operations in cold weather is poor, this is not practical. Replacing the battery in a few years might cost you half of the purchase price of the new vehicle. Then what do you do with the hazardous waste of the spent battery ... Not a practical solution. You are seeing all these electric vehicles being built not because they are a great solution, no they are being built because the government is requiring it. There are better solutions down the pike, like hydrogen fuel cells. Meanwhile, the public is being screwed with this plug in, battery powered EV.

I agree that most people can’t afford them but within the next 10-15 years the market will be oversaturated with electric vehicles and the price will drop. Not only that but technology will evolve and allow us to have better and longer lasting batteries. Look at a early 2000’s baseline car vs a 2013 or even 2022 baseline car. I had a 00’ grand Pre that didn’t have any features except automatic windows and defrost for the windows. My 13’ has Bluetooth,side airbags, and also has a backseat that you can pull down for extra trunk space. The automobile and technology industry are constantly evolving and that makes for a better car.
Price will go down as availability and market shares increase. It’s all about supply and demand. If you only have a few major electric vehicle companies they can charge whatever they want, but as the market keeps opening prices drop.
Also, you don’t need a whole set up to charge an electric car. So long as you have an 3 hole outlet that can stand the wattage your good. The cars come with chargers
3ºI'm not trying to knock Ram or what they want to do. It just seems to me that most half-ton trucks (the 1500s, 150s, Titans, Tundras, etc) are becoming glorified SUVs. I'm concerned about the shortness of the bed, hey its great that you can pass a 2x4 through the "frunk" to the bed, but you are losing capacity by the bed being 5.5ft and then the wheel wells covered (like the old step-side beds). As for hauling weight, it'll probably be around the current 2000-pound standard, and towing will probably be around 10,000 pounds. That leaves range? 500 miles is what I've heard, but that's unloaded without a trailer. I'm curious how that changes once the truck is under load (or overburdened).

1. Suicide rates of people who lost their businesses are skyrocketing.
2. Suicides of young teens and children in abusive homes are skyrocketing.
3. Suicides from depression/anxiety are increasing daily.
4. Those who live pay check to pay check and dont qualify for the CERB or EI (Working cash jobs or making less than what's required to qualify) will end up on the streets or starving.
5. Those who lose their businesses and have their mental health completely diminish. Possibly leading to suicide or turning happy households into turmoil.
6. Those kids with disorders like ADHD, being stuck in their homes have a severe mental toll.
7. People who are currently isolated completely alone. (Mental health and possibly become suicidal)
8. Those in quarantine who will start to abuse narcotics and alcohol to cope with the day to day.
9. All the elective surgeries that are put on hold. (Despite the name, elective surgery does not usually refer to optional—but rather—scheduled or planned treatment (in contrast to emergencies). These include treatments such as hip and knee surgery, but also pre-emptive cancer and elective cardiac bypass and stent surgeries.)
10. Post-traumatic stress symptoms, confusion, and anger. Stressors included longer quarantine duration, infection fears, frustration, boredom, inadequate supplies, inadequate information, financial loss, and stigma. All of these have LONG-TERM problems.
If we continue to listen to the lies of anti-science democrats, we will reach a death toll that's way greater than the one from the virus. Plus everything else that will come with it, as in long term illnesses and poverty.
11. Poverty is SKYROCKETING, and poverty kills as well. Malnutrition and inability to obtain certain medications and insurance.
