Tracy Dill Marraffa BUT
1) The US is NOT those other countries whose people were peons and subjects for centuries,
2) There are 86 coutntries out of 172 that have HIGHER homicide rates with guns than the US. And just about ALL have stricter gun control than the US Brazil and Mexico are 2 such examples
3) Assault weapon is a fake label to confuse ignorant people like you
"Assault rifle" is a specific military term.
It means a small to medium >

Tim Bellair 1. You clearly didn't read what I said about being pro-life. 2. You're blaming the Left for closing "insane asylums", but you should really look up Reagan's Lanterman-Petris-Short Act of 1967. Reagan and JFK both played a role in their closing. There's plenty of money to fund mental health services for Americans. It just needs to be pulled from most foreign affairs and unproductive projects here at home. 3. I'm not a fan of our border policies. 4. Yes, like I said, the tech already exists, it just isn't a law across the board that tech companies need to watch for threats.

Tim Bellair 1. Provide sources showing that arming teachers will solve more problems than it will create. I'm not saying it should be totally ruled out, but it certainly isn't a sufficient plan by itself.
2. The guards are a far better idea, but also insufficient by themselves. There have been plenty of examples proving that armed guards don't necessarily deter school shooters. Parkland and Sante Fe come to mind. The Uvalde district even had their own force. We know how that turned out. Also, you can't look at school shooters the same way you look at other criminals. Bank robbers, for example, intend to walk away alive, but many school shooters don't. They're not as easily deterred. Again, armed guards aren't a bad idea, but they're insufficient in solving our school shootings crisis. That's why they're only one aspect of the multi-faceted plan I've presented.

Travis Christopher so part one and two are common sense,

So no industry donating to political campaigns?

Who determines what a great us in social media? Who pays for thousands of staff to do nothing but read social media posts all day and night?

No to 21. Some parts of this country teenagers still hunt to provide for their families. They work farms with dangerous predators, they can enlist at 18; they deserve their rights as an adult at 18. And even that is infringing in those who hunt and should be trained in firearms at early ages fir responsible handling. It's not the guns that have changed. It's the vile culture built by leftists.

Tim Bellair PART THREE

h. Adding and/or strengthening well-written red flag laws in every state
i. Preventing the gun industry (or ANY others) from donating to political campaigns
j. Legally require social media companies to monitor for and report threats
k. Storage requirements for firearms that are stored in homes where children live
l. Hold parents responsible if their child uses their gun illegally
m. Increasing the purchasing age to 21 for all firearms and ammo. ("Data shows at least 59 percent of the 2,275 school shootings researchers recorded since 1970 were committed by someone under 21 years old." (Hearst Connecticut Group, 2022)

Tim Bellair PART TWO

d. Requiring every adult who works in a school to have basic First Aid, CR, and "stop the bleeding" training (ex. wound packing & tourniquet application) annually
e. Require that every classroom has wound packing materials & at least one tourniquet (for if they’re trapped in a room with an injured victim)
f. Requiring 'See Something, Say Something' programs in schools (most school shooters displayed warning signs beforehand, encourage kids to identify the signs & report threats they’ve heard or read to a trusted adult who will take action)
g. Require schools to conduct annual safety and vulnerability assessments (trained professionals evaluate a school’s policies, procedures, and physical environment to identify vulnerabilities and recommend steps to mitigate risks) Reasonable suggestions must be addressed within ___ timeframe.

Tim Bellair I can only post words, gift, emojis, and stickers. It's interesting how you're seeing my short messages but not the longer ones. I'll post it in smaller parts.

PART ONE

No single solution will solve our school shooting crisis, so we need to address the problem from as many angles as we can.

a. Making mental health services easily available
b. Increasing school security (ex. strong exterior & interior doors and locks, cameras that can be accessed by the school office, district office, and local PD)
c. Ensuring teachers have classroom doors completely closed & locked during class (Research shows that no school shooter has completely breached a locked classroom door. They have shot through them, so students must stay away from doors.)

Travis Christopher I'm sorry. Was it Republicans who set loose the insane asylums with no plan? Try again. And if we had a secure border instead if the illegal immigration invasion, that costs more than 100 billion a year to taxpayers, we'd have plenty of money for mental health.

So no donations from unions or planned Parenthood too right?

I believe tech companies already have auto flag technology. I know Facebook does. Try it out by posting something batshyte.

And no. I don't support your ineffective infringement on the second amendment.

Try it and see if it gets past this pro constitution SCOTUS.

Tim Bellair Easy. 1. The Uvalde shooter had a history of issues from acting out violently to carrying around bags of dead cats. He even had the nickname "School Shooter". However, those things weren't included in a background check because the Safer Communities Act had not yet been passed yet. The SCA allowed for background checks to be extended back to 16 instead of 18. The SCA was passed in June of '22, a month after the tragedy. Family members and even the local pediatrician, Roy Guerrero (who also testified to Congress about what he saw that day) were in attendance.

2. Had the 21 age requirement been in play before the shooting, the shooter wouldn't have been able to access the firearms he obtained from Oasis.

10ºDavid Palmer Thank you for pointing out how immoral the gun laws are! inalienable rights include the right to a clean and healthful environment and the rights to pursue life's basic necessities, enjoying and defending their lives and liberties, acquiring, possessing and protect property, and seeking their safety, health and happiness in all lawful ways. With the knowledge, I am sure you have about the fact that we have had more mass shootings than we have days this year ALREADY. Of course, the living, breathing document that is our constitution needs to be updated and changed. Because only the worse immoral people on the planet would think its ok to have more mass shootings than there are days in a year and how so many of them include schools. Especially since the common day knowledge of how we are the ONLY FIRST WORLD COUNTRY ON THE PLANET. That has these statistics. But of course, you know that because you are sane and moral correct?
