1ºNatasia Lin Dawn where did I say or imply that I value human lives over theirs? I didn't. What I pointed out is that this woman and child were killed due to no fault of their own. You and the greedy developers clearing all the land for new McMansions are just as responsible for the loss of polar bear habitat as they were. And yet you seem unable to show any empathy for their loss of life. You might be interested to know that 85% of the population of that town are Native American (Eskimo) and have been there for decades.
2ºAs I was reading through this I was waiting to read that the cause of this is global warming, and of course there it was "But melting ice due to climate change has led to a corresponding change in bear behavior and made human encounters with bears more likely, CNN previously reported." Later in the article it states that there has not been a bear attack in ten years, which is the opposite of what cnn previously stated. There is no end to what people will ascribe to global warming.....Twisting and turning the facts in any way to hype this issue. On a very sad note, two people lost their lives which is obviously very tragic.
