Alice Morriss still an issue. I have 2 in school. As easy as walking up to a door, hitting a button, wait for buzz, open door, you're in, game over. That's not secure. Needs more focus on point of entry because once you're in, who stops you. Went once to pick up my child and was told they were at the nurses office. Walked there, unattended, to be told she was at main office. Walked there, unattended. At one point I stopped another student to ask quickest way to office.
Why my child wasn't at the door ready to leave? Idk.
Why I was allowed in and allowed to walk around? Idk
Why I walked past multiple teachers, workers and police officer on sight without being stopped? I do
Multiple people involved in giving the masses a false of security

Mark Crist unfortunately, that depends on the state. Here in gun-worshipping Utah, teachers are allowed (with zero training) to carry a concealed weapon on campus. Thus far, we’ve been lucky, and no one has yet been hurt by this except for one teacher who accidentally fired her gun while attempting to use a staff restroom. (It was fatal for the toilet, but she suffered only porcelain-shard wounds and no one else was in the bathroom at the time.). One of my former colleagues who carried, however, was also legally blind (so much that she was unable to drive). I’m still shocked that she felt that she could safely carry/use a gun around…well, anyone, really, but especially around kids.
