1ºI had issues even getting on to buy our tickets today…I’m so disappointed as I really wanted to see him! I later tried buying tickets through them for Drake for my daughters birthday present and by the time I could get on to buy them they were sold out except resale prices of an astronomical amount…over $300 for nosebleeds! This is ridiculous, and they should just go back to us buying in person at stores! I’d rather go wait in line and be able to pick where I want to sit for a specific dollar amount than be is some sort of lottery.
2ºThat's great, but why don't artists and venues just start selling tickets directly and cut out Ticketmaster all together? All these artists "fighting" the big guys aren't using all the weapons in their arsenal. They are the biggest weapon and hold all the power. Refuse to play venues that won't sell direct to customers and only use Ticketmaster. They might have a monopoly, but without talent, they have empty venues and no tickets to sell. Also, if people stop paying $700 a ticket to scalpers, the market would go away, but I suppose there's always some idiot willing to pay anything to see their favorite performer.

4ºVenues know their capacity, tickets should be sold directly from them. They should be e-tickets and no more than 6 per order, once tickets are bought the main person who bought the tickets will inform venue via email of the names of those coming (some form of id or bank card with the persons name on it to verify the ticket to the person holding the ticket). Names are applied to the e-tickets. If someone can't go tickets sold back to venue for resale. (Yes more admin for venues but stops price gouging and ticket touts). It would be first come, first served. Luck of the draw.
