Florida’s House Bill 7 restricts what can be taught to students about certain topics, including race.

Yvon Jardon Yes, as I already indicated and provided evidence, CRT is in fact taught to children all over America today: wokeism, colonialsm, white fragitlity, white guilt, white privilege, DEI, intresectionality, etc,,

Since you are unable to locate the multitude of szspecific examples I provied through the link above, here's one for ya -- the Albemarle County School District in Virginia, which adopted an anti-racism policy in 2019:

There the county’s schools teach children that all “whites” are inherently privileged due to their race, while all people of color are inherently disadvantaged and subordinated—echoing core ideas in the work of DiAngelo, Noel Ignatiev, Cheryl Harris, and others, and CRT’s central claim about the systemic and pervasive nature of racism in our country. One article used in the curriculum states that in order to avoid being racist “white people . . . must acknowledge and understand their privilege,” while people of color must “recogniz[e] how race and racism have been internalized.” Students are told that being opposed to affirmative action, claiming reverse discrimination, saying “we all belong to the human race,” or seeking objectivity by recognizing that there are “two sides to every story,” are forms of racism.

Carla Charter Wrong. HIstory and liberal agendas are two entirely different things.

CRT -- and all of its associated synonyms like woke, DEI, white fragility, white privilege, colinialism, 1619 Project, etc -- is a Marxist philosophy (atheism/communism/abolishment of private propery/anti-Capitalism/etc) that teaches that class warfare can essentially be replaced by race warfare, that white people hold all of the power, that American independence was sought in order to preserve slavery, that white children are born inherently racist, etc etc.. It is revisionist history in an effort to demean the USA and our Constitution - which gave rights to all men regarldess of skin color, culminating in our being the only nation in history to fight a civil war to free its own slaves. It is a grotesque, racist, bigoted viewpoint that has little to no basis in reality today.

It's disappointing to see how Florida's House Bill 7 is affecting the teaching of history in schools. Rosa Parks' story is a significant moment in American history, and omitting the role of race in her arrest does a disservice to her legacy and the struggle for civil rights. It's encouraging to see Studies Weekly take corrective action to ensure historical accuracy in their curriculum, but it's concerning that confusion surrounding the law has led to such oversights. It's essential that educators are allowed to teach history truthfully and comprehensively to foster an understanding of our country's past and promote a better future.

Tj Milne “No one from the Florida Department of Education has requested or would request the mention of race to be removed from social studies textbooks, as that would clearly be contrary to the … requirements of Florida law.”

The Department of Education says it informed Studies Weekly that their text was not considered for use during the 2022-2023 school year but they could reapply for inclusion in future years.

The Florida Department of Education tells CNN the state has “robust requirements for the teaching of African American History.” The new law, it says, “specifically requires discussion of topics such as slavery, racial oppression, racial segregation, and racial discrimination.”
