2ºNow maybe the teachers’ attitudes will improve. The teachers should have been instructed to invest in learning how to effectively communicate with parents instead of dictating how parents should raise their children. This strike wasn’t about salary raises. It was about teachers afraid of losing the total control they think they should have without having to answer to anyone. Very, very few know how to work with parents as a team. Their usual approach is “You need to ...” Parents have had to rely on getting out the votes to support governors who do understand that teachers work for the community not the other way around.
