1ºIt is a very sad comment on society and the safety of women in it that people are blaming her for everything from lying about this happening to setting it up to happen or causing it. And I don't even understand pointing out that she is white; would he not have done this to a woman who was Black or brown? And, yes, I am asking about him because it is him who is being accused of something, so it is him who should be under a microscope right now. Was he raised in a household with domestic abuse? Does he hold misogynist views? Has violence, or the threat of it occurred in previous relationships? And, were there drugs and alcohol involved? Could he get sober, get treated for anger issues, and unlearn any misogynist beliefs he may carry from childhood? The only questions about her that are relevant are does she know that even though he can get better, this relationship should end because the violence will always make a power imbalance in it and does she know that an incident of strangulation is predictive of a future incident leading to her death? Does every woman on this thread know if a man strangles you, GET AWAY FROM HIM AMD THE RELATIONSHIP IMMEDIATELY?
2ºBrian C Laverenz and Genessa Leigha, you are entitled to your opinions. I said “IF it’s a false claim or IF it’s true, then he needs to. I didn’t fail to mention anything. I stated exactly what I meant to say. The problem is when ppl like YOU misconstrue the statement of others based on a narrow viewpoint of your own. I left room for grace in either scenario bcuz I don’t assume to know what happened. 3ºThat ain’t true! Let me break it down. This man is at the height of his career. All over social media. Doing interviews. Haven’t heard anything about domestic abuse before this at all. Women throwing themselves at him now. The lady he’s with, feeling some type of way about his fame, maybe a lil jealous. She’s hurt, he’s probably changing, he’s not acting the same, etc. So, they get into it, and believe me this isn’t their first time getting into it. It’s her first time calling the police. She knows if she calls the police, it can damage his career.
4ºOtniel Chillon I have seen females like that. My ex got done like that by a female. He was in the trucking business. He was growing, and bought two extra trucks. Yeah, he probably was changing. The woman he was with felt some type of way. They got into it, and she called the police. She told the police he had drugs on him and everything. Keep in mind, he’s in the trucking business. They probably would have thought he was exporting drugs. You got to be careful of these women. Some of them don’t mean you no dam good at all and men.

7ºDear NYPD and CNN: “minor” injuries to the neck with strangulation is important to highlight that research out of Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing shows that once domestic violence elevates to strangulation, a females chance of dying by homicide increases 750%.
And, visible injuries in strangulation aren’t necessarily common, and are even harder to pick up using photos. The individual who was assaulted should go and see a forensic nurse, and get assessed for further injury and potential intervention.
Please don’t take strangulation so lightly.
