Mary Peterson This was voluntary. Tesla knew about it before there was ever a problem. Nobody got hurt. It's not very hard to track down, or even disable, any of the 40 trucks that may have faulty parts. I'm not paid by anybody, but this doesn't seem like much of an issue or story, to me. Recalls are common, to keep people safe. This seems like an easy one with very little future concern after very few trucks get fixed. Less than 40 trucks in limited routes, and all future Tesla trucks will be built better before they every get to customers. Ford had wheels falling off a few years back. That was a far bigger issue because it was happening to so many. This was an issue that no customer or driver expressed knowledge of before Tesla issued the recall. Maybe people would be happier if I just say, It coulda been worse, but it wasn't. Next. There will be recalls for all truck and car makers, most will effect more vehicles, and some will cause harm before anybody knows they exist. This one seems well under control.

Rick Clare Probably the part about how we "absolutely control our government."

Dude, if democrats "absolutely controlled" our government, we would have universal healthcare. We wouldn't have any more guns. We'd have robust social safety nets. We'd have reasonable immigration policies.

None of that is possible because we DON'T "absolutely control" the government. There are republicans blocking every progressive action we try to take.

Maybe, just maybe, instead of blaming democrats for the problems Trump and conservatives are having with the law, blame THEM for breaking the law in the first place and forcing the appropriate agencies to take action.

Doug Breland If you're right, they'll be bankrupt soon. That has been an ongoing expectation of some since they started. So far, they've pulled out of all problems with better vehicles and processes. And Tesla has pretty high loyalty rates for the dire conditions you seem to foresee. I just don't believe Tesla will suffer much from this issue or any past recalls. There may be a deal breaking, unrecoverable issue at some point, but none eminent at this point. Everything is growing fast, and customers are lining up. All the negative coverage, and Tesla is still apparently onto something big because they haven't been stopped yet.

The safety of drivers and passengers is of utmost importance, and it's commendable that Tesla is taking proactive steps to address issues that could potentially impact the safety of its vehicles.

Recalls are common in the automotive industry, and manufacturers typically take the necessary steps to respond to and resolve issues as quickly as possible. In this case, the issue concerns the parking brake in some of Tesla's new electric Semi trucks, and the recall is a prudent step to prevent any potential accidents or injuries from occurring due to the improperly functioning brake.

It's important to note that such actions, while inconvenient for vehicle owners, are necessary and should be taken seriously. In addition to the recall, it's good to know that Tesla has reinforced efforts to communicate with drivers and work to fix the issue through service appointments to ensure that the safety of their customers is maintained.

In summary, safety is key, and it's reassuring that Tesla is taking steps to ensure the safety of its vehicles and customers.

Scott Ochinero Are you implying that any owner of the few trucks out there are going to skip the replacement? It seems that since no user has detected the problem, and Tesla made the recall out of concern due to notification from the supplier, All the trucks will get tested parts and, yes, it could still happen, to any truck on the road. Few trucks had faulty parts installed. Nobody suffered harm or loss, and fixing so few trucks is nearly nothing to a huge company. There are so few Tesla semi's that I think one catching fire right now would be huge news, but little cause for actual concern in the future. Tesla is learning and fixing on the fly, but they aren't loosing. There is something to that. Every problem, they have fixed. Their customers are generally happy, and intend to return. We'll see if that's the case with these big trucks or not.
