Daniel Quiñones and you should educate yourself on the history and future of laws and policies that were put in place to hurt people of color. When you came here were you allowed to enter the front door of stores? or did you have to enter the back? When you walk into a store today are you greeted and then left to shop? Or are you greeted and followed? Have you had you're 11and 12 year old approached by cops while playing basketball in a public park? And told to get on the ground with guns drawn on them? Or were they able to come home and tell you how they enjoy playing with their friends and can't wait to go back the next day? If to you that's a great country, your character is not a good one.

It's sad.. they know the risk they take and they do it.. they practice and practice over and over a thousand times... They expect the unexpected, even when they have the the bravest most confident face.. It's very sad.. very very sad.. but it is what the acrobats sign up for... If one don't want to put their life on the line for the world greatest death defying trick, they don't sign up to be a high flying acrobat.. You literally choose your own career.. My thoughts are with the family, friends, coworkers and the fans.. It is a horrible tragedy..

Tl;Dr- Farmer hired the acrobat company to perform. Company violated/ignored numerous rules. Accident happened, person died. It's not "because China" or the husband's fault. It could have happened anywhere. This is why rules and regulations are important and shouldn't be ignored.

"The company failed to obtain approval from authorities prior to the show, and failed to provide essential safety protection and emergency measures during the performance, the investigation found. The use of a crane in the performance was also a violation of regulations, it added.

The company has reached an agreement on compensation with the family of the acrobat, and will be punished according to regulations, the statement said."

Circus person here; These aren’t silks, they’re straps, and the safety error (from what the text says since there isn’t footage) is a performer error. You can still be paralyzed or die landing incorrectly in a net, and a net is a huge undertaking. It can’t just be put up and taken down quickly. A belt could have been considered but it depends on the choreography. Aerial arts come with a major calculated risk. With all of the shows running through the world there is a reason that these accidents are few and far between us hearing about them. Not sure what the height here is but it looks extensive. That being said you can snap your neck landing a few feet off the ground upside down. In short it’s a risky job, but one that those professionals undertaking it are well aware of. Deeply sorry for this loss and the shadow it incorrectly casts on the industry.
