Worms get the munchies, too, study reveals

Researchers found that worms, like humans, engage in hedonic feeding — a phenomenon more commonly known as the munchies.

Worms do not have teeth, but they have a liplike extension over the mouth that helps direct food into the mouth. The muscular pharynx grabs the food, coats it with saliva, and pushes it down the esophagus into the crop, where it is stored before moving on to the gizzard. Inside the gizzard, the food is crushed and ground apart before moving into the intestine, which is further broken down by digestive enzymes. Worms eat microorganisms and bits of organic material, which can come from food waste, animal manure, aquatic weeds, and other sources. Worms also "swallow" soil as they burrow. Worms should not eat meats, dairy products, poison ivy, shiny paper, and plastics, or glass.

Do we need to be careful about not being greedy?

Jesus said 'Luke 6:20-24
New King James Version
The Beatitudes
20 Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said:

“Blessed are you poor,
For yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now,
For you shall be filled.[a]
Blessed are you who weep now,
For you shall laugh.
22 Blessed are you when men hate you,
And when they exclude you,
And revile you, and cast out your name as evil,
For the Son of Man’s sake.
23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy!
For indeed your reward is great in heaven,
For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets.

Jesus Pronounces Woes
24 “But woe to you who are rich,
For you have received your consolation.'
