1ºDemott Sheila no one is saying they aren't...and you trying to stand on tragegy and the bodies of dead children in an attempt to artificial bolster an overly emotional / rational argument will simply never service as a legaly or constitutionally argument or mechanism by which you are ever going to justify the authoritarian subjegation of an entire people to appease your feelings.
You want to protect children in schools....then actually secure the schools...provide each school with a full security package...manned survielance station and a plain cloths fully armed and trained, dedicated emergency response team on site....
This would be far far more effective...and ot would overtly seek to blanletly diminish the individual rights and freedoms of the innocent masses..based on tbe acts of criminals
We could litterally do this for every school nation wide and fund it for the next decade for less then we have given to Ukrainian in the last 6 months or 1/10th of what we provide in foreign handouts each year...
If you really care about children...then you would certianly support this ....right ...
But ...oooooh wait...if course you arent interested in that...because it doesn't satisfy your feelings based irrational need to take guns from everyone...
2ºSebastian Mia well cause this is not now nor can it ever become one of those authoritarian ruled subjegated sheep pen countries wherein it will ever be legally or constitutionally permissible to preemptively or blanketly punish the whole of innocent society (99.99997% of whom have done absolutely nothing wrong) by taxing reducing restricting or eliminating the individual rights and freedoms of everyone (without benefit of individual due process of law) based on the hanious acts of the smallest minority of criminals..

I realize for some.... that not punishing the innocent for the acts of the criminals is a novel concept ...but here it is a founding fundemental principle...

4ºBilly Cooper Logically it doesn’t matter at all, but on an emotional and psychological level knowing that this particular weapon took such young and innocent lives. It’s the same principle of the Sandy Hook Elementary school. The building itself was just a building, not good or evil, but the vile act that was committed inside was enough that the school was demolished and a brand new one was built in its place. I’m totally pro gun; I just believe these guns used in heinous acts should really be destroyed. Again it’s not logical, but it’s the right thing to do (in my opinion)

It amazes me how you try to sound "full of knowledge" but yet majority of these killings has been done because of Mental Illness, it blows my mind how you are even on a post talking nonsense but yet have very little knowledge on what is happening in the world. Obviously you would want a professional judgement on this, not some idiot allowing anyone to own anything! It is so easy to get license so forth because we do so very little to prevent and keep the safety of people, I bet you don't understand how we have such high killings prepare to other countries with how your knowledge is on this topic.
