What comes next after the Supreme Court blocked – for now – restrictions on abortion pills

Let's be clear - the SCOTUS did not "decide to block abortion pill restrictions" it issued an order staying them. The order does not definitely "demonstrate the progress" of anything, other than a tiny hint that maybe they are not as ideologically cocksure as they were back in Dobbs vs Jackson or failing to stay Texas SB 8. You need to go all in, and loudly, on ramping up efforts to ensure that women's rights are fully protected and respected. And Republicans at all levels, for all positions, are voted out in 2024 (and any running for anything in 2023).

Lydia Peller Just be careful what you wish for. If some backwater Judge in Texas can decide he knows more than the scientists at the FDA and take a drug used safely for over twenty years off the market, no drug is safe. There were five deaths associated with mifepristone use for every 1 million people who have used the drug since its approval in 2000. Comparatively, the risk of death by penicillin is four times greater than it is for mifepristone and risk of death by taking Viagra is nearly 10 times greater. In fact, approximately 800 women in the US die each year due to pregnancy complications. It is more dangerous to be pregnant than it is to take mifepristone.

The FDA has just categorized pregnancy as an illness.

Why? So they could rush to give approval to the abortion drug Mifeprex.Excellent point made here about Antifa, Big Pharma and manliness by Lara Logan.
They are purposely weakening the next generation of men.
Time to make men great again.

"China right now are almost force feeding their young men testosterone. They are building men. They are breeding men while we are weakening them."

"What do you think Adderall and all of these pediatric pharmaceuticals are aimed at? They are aimed primarily at boys and what they do is punish you for being a boy. So the impact is that they suppress appetite. You never grow up to be big and strong. That's why you have all these skinny little white kids in Antifa who are all bugged out on drugs. They turn them into drug addicts when they are five years old, they don't know how to function without drugs. They feed them antifetimines which is another derivative from meth.. When they get into college and beyond they are already addicts."

Trumpie morons are adorable... .... Sonny, tell us MORE about how Repubs cry like little b****es because Dems want women to have the same right to body autonomy as men, as GUARANTEED by the U.S. Constitution.

You've heard of the Constitution, right?... I know you've never actually READ it, but surely the name rings a bell.

And before you ask, it's the 14th Amendment, correctly cited by the 1973 SCOTUS in their Roe ruling..... By the way, son, FIVE of the 7 voting In Favor were flag-waving Bible-thumpin' Conservative Repubs.... And that was also during a Republican Presidential administration.... Back then, Republicans actually KNEW and FOLLOWED the U.S. Constitution.

James Dalgleish The destruction of our Country is intentional and well planned: Karl Marx understood what is taking place in our Country very well. He said that, without a structure of law and order people will devour each other like wolves. So, in order to gain control over people, you must first break the system(s) that they rely on and then, once completely shattered, replace it with one that will be controlled by the Communist Party (aka Democrat Party). Don’t think for a second that any of these things you see happening are by accident. We had a system that worked, and it worked very well. Suddenly, it seems broken and dysfunctional. But that dysfunction is by design, not by a systematic failure

Rich Campbell because those conversations happen between a woman and the medical professionals that provide abortion services.

You've obviously never been with someone for an abortion. Here's how it goes. A doctor talks to you about options. They walk through adoption, abortion, or actually going through with it and being a mom.

The woman then makes a choice. Because she's an adult who lives in America and should have that choice.

If she chooses abortion, then there's a whole new talk. Especially about the procedure, side effects, and after care.

Abortions aren't (for the most part) just a willy nilly decision. A lot of planning and thought goes into it. Women are faced with an awful choice. Don't make it harder on us by being judgemental.

Ken Harkins Based on your opinions I can tell you are living in the 1950’s but society and technology have evolved, if I chose to I could have a biological child- there is this revolutionary thing called surrogacy. And besides that, if I want to raise a child I could also petition to adopt- but we don’t bring up adoption do we? Because as much as people like you talk about “the children” y’all ignore the ones needing help and plan to add to those numbers by forcing women to give birth to unwanted children. As far as being gay is concerned, I don’t see a PhD by your name or annotated in your profile, so do not be offended that I won’t take your diagnosis of a mental illness seriously. And finally, I bet your mom wishes she would of aborted you.

CNN as a news organization should present many perspectives, it’s not hard to find women who regret abortions or who have felt pressured into one. I have talked to women who regret their abortion. Also stats show a high percentage of women feel pressured to one degree or another to get an abortion from boyfriends, parents etc. I also question your scenario as being the norm at abortion clinics actually talking to a doctor, the counselors are not doctors performing the abortions. Certainly folks like Abby Johnson who directed a Planned Parenthood clinic for years said her job was to sell abortions and her supervisors got upset when she was trying to present more of the other options. Abortion clinics don’t exist to help women with other options. If they really care about women having all options why are a lot of abortion rights organizations trying to shut down pro-life pregnancy centers?

This could be the first trumpet
Might as well be the last
Many more will have to suffer
Many more will have to die
Don't ask me why
Things are not the way they used to be
I won't tell no lie
One and all got to face reality now
Though I try to find the answer
To all the questions they ask
Though I know it's impossible
To go living through the past
Don't tell no lie
There's a natural mystic blowin' through the air
Can't keep them down
If you listen carefully now you will hear
There's a natural mystic blowin' through the air
This could be the first trumpet
Might as well be the last
Many more will have to suffer
Many more will have to die
Don't ask me why
There's a natural mystic blowin' through the air
I won't tell no lie
If you listen carefully now you will hear
There's a natural mystic blowin' through the air
Such a natural mystic blowin' through the air
There's a natural mystic blowin' through the air

Failure of birth control is NOT consent to be pregnant . It is the opposite.

20 million have no access to a dr
30 million have no health insurance
I takes the a drs prescription to get the most effective forms of birth control .

I am sick of hearing these forced birthers like you blame women for becoming pregnant . Girls and women have over 40 years of fertility. There is no 100% birth control . Every contraceptive has a failure rate . Do the math . Birth control only needs to fail once in 40 years to have an unwanted/ unplanned pregnancy. It’s amazing that only 1 in 4 girls/ women will need an abortion in her lifetime .
