1ºJoseph Hassett They will, but a collison during a routine return to post is almost 100% likely to be pilot error.
My distant cousin/ buddy drives a 747 for UPS. He knows a lot of dudes who are former AD and some who are both Air Guard and helo pilots for the Army Guard. He said this morning that many said the respective school houses have been lowering standards and passing through both rotary and fixed wing pilots who should have washed out. Given our lower op tempo now, that shouldn't be happening. I served with an officer who was in a helo attack battalion, but I haven't spoken to him yet to see what he has heard.
