1ºLorraine Krofchok yes! Though there’s right now 36 couples for every baby placed. That’s wonderful news for babies, but makes it a difficult way to grow a family sometimes. It can also cost anywhere from $35k to $70k. As for foster care, many states require an age difference. My state requires that the younger of two parents be at least 25 years older than the oldest child of siblings. We’d love to keep siblings together but we’d have to wait 10 years or so to do it. For a variety of reasons I don’t want to wait that long-I do get why that may irk some people though. But we’ve really thought this through and there’s many factors in play. The goal of foster care is also typically reunification and while one can be a pre adoptive home only, it’s also not as easy as one would think.
Another option is embryo adoption/donation. That’s the route we’ve chosen to go. It’s quite non traditional but it’s an option many haven’t heard of. Right now we are waiting to be matched. We are hoping for an open dynamic so the genetic family is like extended family for the kids. No child has ever been harmed by having too many people love them!
I’m glad that infertility and different parenting options are being de-stigmatized to discuss. There’s so many ways to come into the world and love makes a family. I think openly talking about it is beneficial as it makes others feel less alone, and it also lets others know about options they may have never heard of. Someone else talking about their embryo adoption/donation is how we heard of it.
2ºTim Murphy Nope. But we sure were not 1 in 6 could not get pregnant. My mom was pregnant every year...2 miscarriages, 4 live births. I kept my 3 yr IUD in 8 yrs because I got pregnant if you looked at me...and had a mini-stroke at age 22 on BCPs. Something has had to change the numbers. The same with Autism and those spectrum disorders...no autism back in the 50s-80s...now similar occurrances.
As a RN Docs have always thought 'go back to what we are ingesting'...the foods, water etc. The latest theory in Autism Spectrum is people who took Acetaminophen...BAAAH! I don't buy that. I cannot think what all the factors are that are causing infertility. You'd think if we can transplant , lungs, even a uterus now...why can't they develope back discs that will allow you to still bend...or fix infertitily??
3ºSteph StephSteph Steph I'm not trying to scare you but simply tell you the plain truth. The Bible says a man's days are numbered so God knows exactly when each person will die. He knows the number of hairs on your head. God does love you very much and I'm simply trying to tell you how you can get to Heaven. It's absolutely your choice to accept or reject God's grace and free gift of Salvation. Hopefully you will place your faith in Jesus as your Savior before it's too late. It's an act of love to warn others of impending danger, not fear mongering. Take care.

I have had a great life and will continue to do so until it is my time to exit .. this won’t be due to some plan of a mystery sky fairy, it will be a mixture of health, choices of either myself or others and luck. One of us is going g to be incredibly surprised or dissapointed when death happens upon us … and neither can come back and tell the other “I told you so”… so quit with the scare mongering. 5ºDouglas Campbell - I don't have to look it up. Caught Covid during round one before vaccines were even out. COVID filled my lungs with clots and put me in the hospital for over a week on intravenous blood thinners. Perfectly healthy before that. When the vaccines came out, I got them to keep from having a repeat. No clots from the vaccines. A year later caught Covid from a coworker again - no clots. None of my coworkers, family, or friends have had any issues with the vaccines.
So regardless of what Tucker and Fox told you - you're wrong. Look it up better.

So explain me this .. if this is the case why does this god you speak of allow … and clearly according to your belief which you insist on telling me is the blue print of human existence and some made up “truth”. … explain to me why innocent lives are taken away clearly before they should, why are humans subjected to the most unbelievable horrors and torture and cruelty, why are humans subjected to inhumane illness and deaths … why?! I’d these are gods plans then it is one sick being that dictates this. You have just reinforced to me that what an incredibly rediculous fairy tale one subscribes to based on a book.. not a book based on scientific proven facts… a book advocating divisive behaviours, hatred of difference …. I don’t want to go to “heaven “ because it does not exist! 8ºSteph StephSteph Steph Because of Adam and Eves disobedience sin came to all men. There is no one innocent . The Bible says All have fallen short of the glory of God. Only those babies and small children under the age of accountability and those who are mentally handicapped that can't understand what sin is what the moral consequences of their actions and sins have . Those people and children and babies get to go to Heaven. Now since we live in a fallen sin cursed world and man has a God given free will , bad things happen. It's that simple. Being a Christian isn't about thinking anyone is better than anyone else, but simply realizing the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life for those in Christ Jesus. We are sinful and in need of a Savior. Now a Christian doesn't get to Heaven because we are better or anything. We are forgiven our sins and we get to Heaven because when we placed our faith in Jesus as our Savior by believing in our heart in Jesus death burial shed blood and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins we were given God's righteousness. The Bible says our righteousness is but filthy rags in the sight of God because apart from God we can never meet God's standard of righteousness . So being a Christian isn't about being religious or finding religion or being better than anyone else. We are simply understanding what Jesus did on the cross and why and the need for a Savior.
Only those who have believed in Jesus death burial shed blood and resurrection for the forgiveness of their sins are going to Heaven. Because God is righteous and Holy and just sin must be punished. We are given free will so nobody ends up in Hell un justly. In fact God simply honors a person's choice. God doesn't force us to believe in him. True love offers a choice. The Bible says man is without excuse as to the existence of God so it will be fair for everyone.
Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
So nobody ends up in Hell unjustly.
Heaven is real and its a place that is full of love peace joy happiness beyond your imagination . Now it's of course your choice to accept or reject as I've said. Take care.
