Why aren't you reporting the LIBERAL justices are telling Democrats in Congress to stand down. Stop attacking the conservative justices and stop trying to force all the justices to adopt a mandatory ethics policy. Maybe their motive is because Republican politicians and conservative organizations can attack the liberal justices personal travel and leisure as well as purchases by them and their spouses or money they received or their spouses receive. They also came against being forced to be recused even if they have relations with any of the litigants. Face it what comes around goes around. The liberal justices know this.

Most recents: mass shootings at a Sweet 16 party in Dadeville, Alabama; a bank in Louisville, Kentucky; at Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee; at Michigan State University; at a ballroom dance studio in Monterey Park, California; and at a Cleveland, Texas home!!

The United States of America, where I live, the only place on Earth where when a person is having a “bad day”, instead of taking a couple of Tylenol pills, they take a gun and start shooting people. Coincidentally, the USA is the country with the highest civilian guns per capita in the world. This is a fact, not an opinion. And on top of that, we have people who don’t want permits/background/training certificate because criminals don’t have it. They want equality with criminals!! If in doubt, ask Florida’s republicans. This is insane!

And the republicans still want to say that there should be few, if any, restrictions on who can own a gun or what it takes to buy one? Years ago we had a gun control advocate do an experiment to see how easy it was to buy an AR-15 in Philly. She walked into a gun shop and walked out with a legally purchased rifle within 2 hours. No waiting period, and I bet the background check wasn't that substantial (by comparison, a background check for a retail job takes longer, and actually involves the local court system). As the gun violence in the city got progressively worse, the mayor at the time tried to get more restrictive gun laws passed (including more substantial background checks and the same waiting period as for a handgun) but was forced by the state (at the time, both houses of the legislature were controlled by the Republicans and we had a Republican governor) to rescind it because it violated the city charter and state constitution because cities can't pass laws more strict than state law

Randy Janssen our system works pretty well considering our population, cultural diversity, number of guns in circulation, and the realities of gun crime vs gun deaths. If you don’t shoot yourself or participate in criminal activity, your chances of being killed by someone with a gun are like 0.000023%.

Criminals aren’t afraid to break the law. They already do. You can’t restrict access to 400,000,000+ guns when all they have to do is break the law to get one.

If we’d just start eliminating violent offenders instead of attempting to rehabilitate them, we’d stop a lot of violent crimes, since repeat offenders are responsible for the majority of all violent crimes.

The criminal justice system today doesn't want to hold anyone accountable for their actions as that is where the problem exists. Liberal judges give a slap on the wrist to convicted felons and reprehensible short sentences to those convicted of the more serious crimes.

Can anyone name anything that is better under democrat leadership?

It now costs $100+ to fill up my car, $100+ each trip to the grocery store, and even $100/month to simply use water at my house. Very few things are still affordable - Car insurance ($25 per month from Insurance Panda), cell phone ($22/month from T Mobile), and gym ($15/month from Planet Fitness). But I’m sure those will go up too. Even crime are through the roof.

Holding people accountable and not allowing for sentences to be reduced would help.

Toxic violent trends are not a culture, but a product of a toxic violent environment and Americans are now adapted in the brain and are not just addicted to drugs but now addicted to toxic brain adrenaline. Our leader's, media, even gangs, and many others are now impaired non-functional, whistling in the graveyard, six learn toxic behaviors, a Stockholm syndrome, religious abuse syndrome, abuse spouse syndrome, and use a tactic like the guards from the Stanford experiment conducted in 1971! The only way to prevent certain groups from engaging and implementing toxic violent trends is to NOT clinically enable them. We must engage to implement a rehabilitation proactive crime prevention. Announcing after one is a target on this level is reactive syndromes. Our military and many others are requesting to move overseas where they implement real infrastructure developments, real public safety, and other developments on a proficient level. I as a USA citizen who has worked in media/marketing/advertising am ordering and commanding all groups to NOW engage to implement our public safety and developments for our mental and physical health.

Michael Pulliam Good news! You don't need a superpower! You don't even need any additional legislation! YOU ARE IN LUCK!

It is 100% ALREADY illegal for criminals and convicted felons to even posess a firearm! As we speak!

So, why all the blather about needing MORE gun control? If we do, indeed, pass new legislation, it won't be any more illegal for felons to posess guns than it is now!

So why don't you show us how all this gun legislation will take the guns away from the bad guys......RIGHT NOW since it's currently 100% illegal for them to have guns?

Why do you need new lass to do it first? You'll STILL have to take them away then....

....so why don't you demonstrate exactly how you will do it then....ONLY NOW?

Jessica Ann Mauldin there are a few things wrong with your argument but the first most obvious one is if we wait until policing and the court systems are fixed to do anything about gun control it will never happen. Thankfully that doesn't make any sense though. So we can move on to the next. Your argument assumes, that 'good guys with guns" do anything other than add to more gun deaths. And research and statistics prove, they don't. Guns, are the issue. You can twist it all day but guns are the killing machine so they need to be treated just like cars, another killing machine, but at least this one has an express purpose other than killing.
