1ºTony Frier I'm a former racehorse owner. These horses have been bred for this over hundreds of years. Most horses are treated better than some humans. It is up to the owners & trainers working together to make sure the horse is fit to run. I was a hands on owner. You cannot keep a horse in the stall all day doing nothing. It's not good for them. Vets come in once a week to check on them, trainers stretch out the horses usually on a daily basis, & they get excellent food. I'll be the first to admit there are bad apples in the business such as Baffert but the majority of owners & trainers care about the animals & the jockeys. You close down the track near me & over 500 people will lose their jobs. These are grooms, groundskeepers, people that work for the racing commission, the employees that take the bets, even the people who work the snack bar, track photographer, track vet, the transport companies. Arabian horses can run a hundred miles before needing rest. Learn your facts.
2ºYou can tell who the decent people here are, they are the ones calling for the end of this crap. The rest of them are fine with animal abuse as entertainment. If someone did to their dog or cat what is done to these horses they'd be pressing charges but the irony of that completely misses them. Because you know this poor horses are worth money to a rich piece of crap and then when they are not not they are just sold to a torturous death out of the public eye, betrayed by the very humans they served. You can tell the greatness of a Nation by the way it treats its animals, America is a crap hole.

I’ll use the baseball team closest to me as an example. More than half of the Peninsula Pilots roster is composed of players who went to school in the state of Virginia, or were born and raised in the state. Some or from neighboring states like North Carolina or Delaware but by and large most of the roster is from Virginia.
That’s a local team with local ties that represents the area. For most college or amateur teams that’s the case as well. It’s only your largest colleges or billion dollar franchises that aren’t like that. That’s just one example as well, so to use a draft as an argument is pretty weak.
