1ºIs this not blatantly obvious what he wants to do? Denying liberal college students and young activists a chance to vote, but keeping it there for the young conservatives joining the police and military?
"Blue lives matter," gets a vote, but "Black lives matter," doesn't, in effect.
You wanna go "kill terrorists," overseas? Here's a vote. You want to study the politics of war? Nope, no vote for you.
There's also the entire idea of age vs disenchantment. The younger you start voting, the more you hold on to pure ideals and values. The older you are/the more life has beat you up, the more likely you are to either not vote, or to just vote the path of least resistance. Conservatives all over the PLANET absolutely love suppressing young voters.

Even though Trump honestly, should be in prison, a mass rejection will be much more effective. At this point, it’s painfully obvious that MAGA  really is nothing more than a cult made up of people who are way way overly starstruck and are unreasonably, incapable of critical thinking about him.  it literally is creepy. 
And if you want proof, just read the way people on Facebook, respond to those who criticize Trump. They use insane over the top crazy canned rhetoric that makes no sense.  In their mind the only people who reject Trump are “communist”.  Most of the people who reject Trump are actually independents and Republicans who are disgusted by him.
3ºI completely agree. Most young people are pretty naive or uneducated about how the world really works until they reach the age of 25. Most children finally admit their parents were right at age 25. Why? Because they have finally lived on their own and are hopefully working a job. Some have gotten married and are starting a family. The realization of truths in this world come with the maturity of being responsible for yourself and for someone else. 25 seems to be the magic age of this realization. It’s not a political thing. It’s an actual fact of life. Period.

I spent 30 years in the Navy... no one wants a war... we actually have an Ammendment that allows people to own guns... unlike a president and justice dept that ignores the immigration laws and allowed 7 million illegals to enter the country resulting in record deaths at the border, record number of got-aways, record fentanyl deaths, record number of unaccounted children after release, millions of unhireable people as they don't have papers, green cards nor work visas, over stressed healthcare systems that are hurting inner cities the hardest... oh and affecting a liveable wage by adding millions to a 'workforce', unseen, paid in cash, and working for less than a living wage.. so you keep worrying about an idea a candidate is discussing while everything around us falls apart. How very myopic.
5ºLisa Marie Kirtright your thought process is purely political and not fact based. A level of maturity is reached at age 25 that is based on life experiences and better knowledge of the worlds functioning. On top of that it’s almost laughable that democrats think an 18 year isn’t responsible enough to purchase a gun, but can go to war and use a gun. We can’t drink until we’re 21 but can vote on the country’s most important issues. Even more laughable is grants for college are based on you parents finances, but at 18 they are no longer legally responsible for you. There is so much that makes no sense.
6ºWhy is he even in the running for President!! Doesn't he know that once you graduate from Highs school in America you are old enough to vote!! If I joined the Army, etc. at 17-18 years of age I better be able to do something besides fight for this country and trust me I was voting. However when I voted I never voted Republican because my Grandfather educated me on the parties and how they changed and also on how it was also hard enough to vote when you was a person of color. He is just promoting another way of trying to ensure that GOP candidates win no matter what!! Don Lemon was right for calling him out!!
7ºChad Myers 42 USC, Ch. 157, §18014(d)(2)(E) states : "If the plan or coverage provides dependent coverage of children, the plan or coverage makes such dependent coverage available for adult children until the adult child turns 26 years of age, unless such individual is the child of a child receiving dependent coverage". What this age has to do with the maturity of a person? What this age has to do with the Voting age of a person? Absolutely nothing. You are trying to add lemons and oranges. It is impossible. The 26 years of age is ONLY for this Statute when making a Plan coverage. You are not reading the Law correctly.
8ºSo, an 18 year old who passes the naturalization exam, presumably because they were born in another country, can vote but an 18 year old who is born here can't vote until 25. An 18 year old can buy a rapid fire weapon but can't vote until 25. The right to vote is held hostage to "encourage" 18 year olds to risk their lives in the military and other dangerous occupations while also diverting them from pursuit of higher education goals. The party that keeps saying they want big government out of our lives continues to attempt to micromanage our daily existence.
9ºJake Martin they lowered the voting age to 18 because, 18-19 year olds were going out and being cut down in Vietnam.  if you’re old enough to sacrifice your life for your country, you’re goddamn old enough to vote.  I wonder how many people sympathetic to the idea of raising  the voting age, served in Vietnam at the tender age of 18 or 19 and I’m sure as hell bet they very patriotically voted when they could at 18 or 19 years old.  How unbelievably  hypocritical for boomers of the Vietnam generation to even think this way, just because a bunch of jerks on Fox News and other right wing outlets, mindf’ck people in the believing that every young person is being fed commie doctrine  buy a handful of aging hippies. Every older generation looks down their noses at younger generations. It was true when I was a kid in the 70s just says it’s true now. How easily we forget that we were young once.
10ºChad Myers the age is only in this Statute. Besides in all the States there are other Statutes indicating different ages according every issue, as I have told you before. The issue here is why this guy wants to rise the Voting Age from 17, 18 to 25? Can you provide a reason and not repeating ACA's age. And even is 26 as you are advocating, why? Why in Voting, me you, and someone else is mature in 26 and not on 18 or 17 or even 15 (when entering in Contracts)? Focus on the reason and give an answer.
