That makes what Trump did intentional. There is zero evidence that either Biden or Pence did so intentionally, and the difference in cooperation between them and DJT clarifies Trump’s intent.
Per the PRA, the president does not have the right to take documents with them when they leave office - classified or not. For it to be a crime, it must be provable that it was intentional, which has been done for Trump but not Biden or Pence.
The president can declassify documents as he wishes, however, the law clearly requires that a strictly defined process be followed, and a specific process of notification must take place. Additionally, he can’t declassify after he has left office, so verbally declaring that he did so after he has left office is not possible.

3ºWilliam Henry lol, more phony, unproven rhetoric. The admin is faced with historic numbers coming to the border. The natural result of that is more illegal crossings and more apprehensions. You have no idea how many of the hires were administrative vs actual patrol agents since CBP reports all as “agents”. Besides, what makes you think that additional adminpersonnel wasn’t needed…the patrol agents don’t throw people they apprehend back over the fence, they have to be processed and more personnel were ALSO needed in those roles to move them through the system.
In 2021, the admin moved 300 patrol agents to the southern border. Under Trump the number of agents on the southern border was decreased significantly and the Biden admin has been working to build it back up, but that is tough to do with historically low unemployment. The admin is trying to counter by increasing the new employee signing bonus to $20,000. As to the EO you quote, it was a 100 day pause, not a continuing policy as you infer.
Finally, couldn’t help but notice that you ignore the Trump claim that his magic wall was the be all and end all, key to protecting the border, that he completed it and Mexico was going to pay for it - that is why he let the personnel on the border drop by thousands while he was president.

The complaint about Biden is also hollow when you try to couch it as being”worse than Trump”. Trump had compartmented docs, and he took them PURPOSELY, which he has admitted, and kept them in his club that has foreign nationals and all sorts of people who could access them. He also ignored National Archives notices that the docs needed to be turned over, ignored subpoenas, and lied that all had been returned. He also admitted he may have shown them to other people. He purposely and knowingly broke the law and then attempted to cover it up.
Biden’s docs were in a locked, unused office, and when discovered by his attorneys they immediately notified the appropriate parties and turned them over, then fully cooperated with all requests to check further. He voluntarily told people of the error - and had they not, no one would know anything about it to this day. The Archives didnt know anything was missing, no one had been asking for them. He didn’t obfuscate, which would have save him all of your lie-filled histrionics.
5ºEllen Penner Bidens included Top Secret Comlartmentalized, Pence did not. Biden had to have secured viewing location and storage. No one else could access that to "pack up". And Pence unlike Bidens, was in a sealed box with other VP records, whereas Joe's was left for years in an unsecured office that hundreds had access to, including foreign nationals....Hunters business partners! Then there was these in unmarked boxes on his garage floor, scattered about in a library and desk. And let's not forget about his beachside mansion and Lawyers office in Boston, which we know was searched by the FBI and ever since both the DOJ and Whitehouse has claimed up about it.
BTW....do some homework...Obama took boxes of presidential records, which included classified docs, and it was stored in a Chicago area warehouse for quite some time before the National archieves ask for them back. Any wonder why this was largely kept quiet?

9ºEllen Penner so when did you talk to Joe....so as to KNOW "they were clearly unintended" facts matter. As VP, Joe didn't have authority to declassify anything...as a POTUS does. In some of Joe's identified files, classification required strict viewing protocols including viewing location. He could not have accidentally, or "unintentionally" took them. That's a made up fairy tale of an excuse. They were intentional removed from their secure viewing location. And....not one of those found from Joe were stored securely by any means. With Trump....Secret Service were present 24/7. Even Joe's lawyers told him to not ask.about what was found so he could claim plausible deniability. Even they knew it was bad. And the fact that we are not being told what was found in his Deleware beachfront mansion and lawyers Boston office......well, even a Dem knows that cannot be good.
