Americo First, the Revolution happened. That's when the Founders implemented a loyalty oath. Any colonists that refused to take a loyalty oath to the US government were disarmed.
I know exactly what you are insinuating with, "Also, look at what historically happens after government disarms its population".
In 1938 Hitler RELAXED gun laws for German citizens considerably. After implementation of the 1938 German Weapons Act, gun restriction laws applied only to handguns but no longer to rifles or ammunition. The 1938 revisions completely deregulated the acquisition and transfer of rifles and shotguns and the possession of ammunition. The legal age at which guns could be purchased was lowered from 20 to 18, and weapons permits became valid for three years rather than only one year.
Holders of annual hunting permits, government workers, and Nazi Party members were no longer subject to gun ownership regulations. Just the Jews, or one very small group containing only about 200,000 adults old enough to even possess a gun out of a German population of over 67 million were denied gun rights, and only because they HAD THEIR CITIZENSHIP REVOKED!
Try and buy a gun here in the USA as a non-Citizen, or get caught with one, and see what happens.

Morgan Hanson “prosecute criminal….” Cute. We get it. Criminals don’t follow laws. In most mass shootings involving a shooter with an AR-15, they bought the weapon…legally. So they followed the law on that part. In another part where you use it to assault people? Yeaaa…mental illness isn’t the problem there. Not every person with mental illnesses is a danger to society. There’s millions all over the world and you don’t see see that much gun violence in other countries. Why? Better gun control. but here…everyone’s obsessed with the “my guns my rights!” And the so-called second amendment in the constitution…but there were already some laws in place. Yet, still pretty bad gun control. And it’s pretty bad for a reason.

Daniel Clark #1 I’m assuming by chain gun you mean a minigun, they are not banned to own accept for a handful of states.

#2 shootings were already in decline before the 94 AWB because of a ban on the importation of super cheap Chinese firearms that took place in around 1990. Those were the firearms the gangbangers were using in the drive byes that were so popular in that time. The 94 AWB had little effect on shootings according to the DOJ and in case you were not aware, during the entire AWB it was still perfectly legal to purchase and own an AR-15 so why don’t you explain how the 94 AWB decreased shootings?

Columbine happened right smack in the middle of the AWB and arguably played a part in starting this sick trend we see now. Anyone honestly paying attention would know these simple facts. Stop relying on lies told to you by manipulative politicians and lobbyists that are liars.

Clark Richards Drawing from federal and state law definitions, the term assault weapon refers primarily to semi-automatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns that are able to accept detachable magazines and possess one or more other features.
So you want to be able to regulate my type of pistol and shotgun. You ok with handguns at mass shootings?
Soon democrats will want those.
Then knives, hammers etc.
The majority of Americans don’t want this kind of regulation.
I asked why didn’t democrats do this 2 years ago. They had the chance.
Only the minority like yourself want this.
You’re very pro criminal.

Clark Richards first of all calling yourself a Republican then saying you support banning all semi automatic guns well that shows you are at least a progressive. Lying about being a Republican never works because people like me call you out and expose you. Just look at your Facebook page.

Second, in Heller they made clear you can't ban all semi automatic guns. That was centered on the semi automatic handgun ban. On McDonald, that was centered on saying it applied to state and local governments.

You keep saying assault weapons ban but what you really want is all semi automatic guns banned not just the so called assault weapons. This isn't legal under precedent.

Clark Richards https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/reports/mass-shooting
This is the link to the gun violence archive. This link will give you every single year and every single mass shooting. I’m sorry if you have to do the work yourself to figure it out. You can go buy a biased news source if you would like, because they all show different statistics. This is plain and simple And an absolute complete list that is 100% undisputed. If you want to know the true information on stuff you need to do the research yourself and not take somebody else’s. I went through this list every year for the last 10 years and figured it out myself. if you want to be a sheep go ahead I’m not arguing with you on banning assault weapons or any other narrative, I am simply just giving you facts.

Morgan, you should have looked harder.

"Advocates of the AR-15 enlisted the support of a redoubtable gun enthusiast, General Curtis Lemay, then the Air Force’s Chief of Staff. Based on his interest, the Air Force conducted further tests and inspections and declared the AR-15 its standard model in January of 1962.
On the advice of the Armalite Corporation, which owned the design for the rifle, and of Colt, which had the contract to manufacture it, the Air Force tested the ammunition that the Remington Arms Company had developed for the AR-15.
After the tests, the Air Force declared the ammunition suitable for its purposes. In May of 1962, it ordered 8,500 rifles from Colt and 8.5 million rounds of ammunition from Remington.
Early in 1963, with strong support from President Kennedy and Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, the Special Forces (better known as the Green Berets), asked for and got approval to use the AR-15 as their standard issue, because they needed lightweight gear for mobility and stealth. The Army’s airborne units in Vietnam also got it, as did some agents of the CIA." https://www.theatlantic.c...r-story/545153/

Bill Carter they will protect politicians and athletes, but not our children in schools.

The federal government spend millions of dollars are year protecting pro sports. Some of the federal agencies that protect Super Bowls;

The Department of Homeland Security involves the following: U.S. Coast Guard; Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office; U.S. Customs and Border Protection; Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency; Federal Emergency Management Agency; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; Office of Intelligence and Analysis; Office of Operations Coordination; U.S. Secret Service; Transportation Security Administration; and DHS’s Blue Campaign (within the Office of Partnership and Engagement and aligned with the DHS Center for Countering Human Trafficking).

Paul Rasi news agencies use those stories to get ratings and money from advertisers who feed off the 'regular' and 'poor' people in the world and in this country. I was really getting tired of our local news coverages. Suddenly I notice more 'good warm and fuzzy' stories of people who do good deeds in the area - a welcome relief from all the tragedy in the world where nothing is being done to stop the loss of life. Look at all the creeps in the world who are trashing our planet by bombing and plundering and pillaging other 'enemy' countries. What's up with that? We have to recycle but they can just go and bomb people and destroy them? it's unreal and we're getting used to it because we can often barely take care of ourselves.

10ºThis isn't based off merits. They preferred to stay out of the shadow docket. It still is going through the courts. I know the Democrats are thinking this was by merit but it's not. If the Supreme Court was making a final decision it would dismiss the case entirely. They didn't.

But hey if Dems want to ban all guns. Try. See how it works in the Elections

"The appeal of the dispute currently underway at the 7th US Circuit Court of Appeals has been fast tracked, with the appeals court scheduled to hear arguments in the case on June 29."

CNN misleading headline. The Supreme Court didn't refuse to get involved entirely just on what is called the shadow docket..
