Ancient saber-toothed creature lived during ‘the Great Dying’

An unusual saber-toothed creature, similar in size to a tiger but with a reptilian appearance, fought for its place as a predator during Earth’s worst mass extinction event 250 million years ago.

There are 1,000 mm in a metre, and with there being 1,000 metres in a KM, there are 1 million mm in a Kilometre.
The Distance from LA to New York is about 4,000KM.
They tell me that life on Earth began 4 Billion years ago. That means if a Year is a Millimetre, then Evolution took place while going from LA to New York at the speed of 1 millimetre per year.
Thing is though, nothing much happened from LA all the way to the New York's next door neighbour state Pennsylvania- say Pittsburgh.
The "Cambrian Explosion" then happened and loads of life forms popped into existence "Life as we know it Jim" by the time you are just 10KM to 20 KM away from Pittsburgh: https://www.britannica.com/science/Cambrian-explosion

Call mammal-like reptiles or proto-mammals not reptiles, more related to us mammals then reptiles as today's all morden mammals around today because small -like rodent mammals surive KT extinction they rise and rule earth after fall of dinosaurs as today's mammals as the birds are descendent from non-aivan feather theropod dinosaurs that evolved during time or after KT extinction as not all dinosaurs didn't wipe out only non-avian dinosaur surivred and evolve into modern day bird's.

Dinosaurs still are around today as bird's so chickens, turkeys, eagles, falcons, hawks, blue Jays and cardinals etc we know and love as they are todays dinosaurs aka call them aviansaurus birds.

Ah, the fascinating world of prehistoric creatures! It seems that Earth's history is filled with remarkable and often bizarre creatures. This unusual saber-toothed creature you mentioned, resembling a tiger but with a reptilian appearance, must have been quite a formidable predator during that time. The fact that it thrived during Earth's worst mass extinction event, 250 million years ago, speaks to its ability to adapt and survive in challenging conditions. It's incredible to think about the diverse range of species that have roamed our planet throughout its history. If only we had a time machine to witness these ancient wonders firsthand!

“One of those creatures was the saber-toothed Inostrancevia, a tiger-size mammalian ancestor that, with the skin of a rhino or elephant, looked a bit like a reptile.”

Evidence? We have the skeletal remains, but I cannot find a single source for why this mammal is thought to have “ skin of a rhino or elephant” or “looked a bit like a reptile”. . . . Other than sheer assumption and reading into the fossil record what some scientists think it “should” have looked like. Which of course, is not science, it’s assumption and maintaining ideology instead of being open minded to possibilities until further evidence is found.

It’s amazing and frightening to think of all the things that happened on this planet before humans came to be. Amazing and frightening to think of all things that have happened since humans came to be, too. How incredibly fortunate we are to exist at all, let alone in this time period. Time is strange … it just goes on and on and on. So much history that we will never know. And then thinking of what life will be like in 1000 years … how different will it be? Will there be room for all the people?? Space freaks me out, it just goes on and on and on, too … what’s out there? Who is out there? Man, this is some good weed.
