Why would anyone want people who understand the least about a subject be put in charge? You want common sense gun control but the people who want to be in charge have no common sense. It's just Radical, over the top, histrionic blathering from the left which puts fear into the hearts of those who wish to defend their rights provided under the constitution. There is a middle ground to be found but not when those who want to be in control stomp on Americans rights.

Sooo...stop trying to make lame excuses, and parroting poor comparisons. Our government is not trying to prompt for an ethnic genocide. We are trying to disarm a population of criminals. And make "law-abiding gun owners" more accountable for their firearms as well. We are focused on saving lives...in a country with far too many guns. Shame on you if you don't understand that objective or don't want that to happen.
3ºFrederick Gubitosi most mass shootings happen in urban areas. The vast majority of mass shootings are gang, drug, or domestic violence related. The cities they occur in are overwhelmingly Democrat controlled. The perpetrators in most cases (67% in 2022 according to data from the Gun Violence Archive) were committed by Black men age 16-40. You people love blaming red "states" when it's the city's problem. The governor doesn't set local laws or ordinances. The governor doesn't set law enforcement policy in each city. You only bring up red states because that's the ONLY way you can even attempt to pretend mass shootings are somehow a conservative or Republican thing.
And, not for nothing, most murders, shootings, robberies, felony assault, and gun crime in general are perpetrated by people who almost exclusively Democrat and have for decades.
But, it's clearly a "red state" problem.
