You had me hooked until making this a political charge. It's a legal precedent being met to charge, defended in a court of law and a judicial punishment handed down. He isn't a politician. He's a racist right wing extremist thug. Normally people why cry about politicising this and that are politicians skirting legal due process. Any fool who uses political hit jobs are a means to undermine them. Well yes exactly it's political because you are seeking a political office. I'm a free thinking open Conservative who see's these statements for what they are. Puffing and avoiding complicity and responsibility by labelling something as political. It's the victim culture while they bully others. IT IS PATHETIC. Remove that from your post and every word is extremely fair and accurate.

This guy's sentence is a walk in the park compared to what he would have gotten in the past. At one time, this clown would have been tied to a horse and dragged to the gallows, hung (usually not to the death), taken down from the noose and disemboweled - burning the entrails in front of the guilty person, then beheaded, and quartered. This last step was sometimes accomplished by tying each of the four limbs to a different horse and spurring them in different directions. His head would have been placed on a poll for all to see as a warning for others thinking of also committing sedition or treason.

WASHINGTON — The House Oversight Committee’s staff on Wednesday will finally examine suspicious activity reports sent by banks to the Treasury Department alerting of potential criminal activity involving President Biden’s family.
The committee’s long-awaited review is expected to accelerate Republican committee Chairman James Comer’s investigation of Joe Biden’s links to ventures in places such as China, Russia and Ukraine.
Oversight Committee staff will begin reviewing suspicious activity reports in camera at the Treasury Department Wednesday afternoon,” a spokeswoman for the panel told The Post, using a Latin phrase referring to a private review.
The Treasury Department allegedly stonewalled Comer’s demands for access before relenting Monday and agreeing to allow the review.
CBS News reported last year that there are more than 150 suspicious activity reports involving first son Hunter Biden and first brother James Biden.

Yes, that is correct. Stewart Rhodes, the founder and leader of the far-right militia group Oath Keepers, was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Thursday for seditious conspiracy. Rhodes was convicted last November of seditious conspiracy, obstruction of an official proceeding, and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm at a federal facility. He was the first person to be convicted of seditious conspiracy in connection with the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

In a statement, U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta said that Rhodes' sentence was "necessary to deter others from engaging in similar conduct." Mehta also said that Rhodes' actions were "a direct assault on our democracy."

Rhodes' lawyers had argued for a sentence of no more than four years in prison. They said that Rhodes was not a danger to the community and that he had already spent 16 months in jail since his arrest.

However, prosecutors had asked for a sentence of 25 years in prison. They said that Rhodes was the leader of a violent extremist group that planned to overthrow the government.

Rhodes is the first of several Oath Keepers leaders to be sentenced for their role in the January 6 attack. Kelly Meggs, another Oath Keepers leader, is scheduled to be sentenced on June 8.
