An Amazon worker who helped lead a milestone organizing effort to form what would have been the company’s first US union at a warehouse in Alabama said she has been fired by the e-commerce giant.

People think unions are great until they find out they have to pay dues and if they go on strike the unions will not provide them with any monies to feed their families. Companies want the right to be able to get rid of workers that show up late all the time or dont do their jobs putting the load on those who do their jobs. Unions protect worker who ate non workers. Look at our public school systems in some parts of the country where the teachers are unionized. Example 23 schools in Baltimore have zero students that are math proficient, yet, the teachers are protected by unions.

Also, noting that this is a warehouse company. So even if I worked there, I would be expected to lift those 50 pound sack crates into the truck and no aid support.

There’s been thousands of reports where people wind up in the hospital with severe surgeries, including one guy. He was photographed, wearing a neck brace because of a Work-As accident because he was lifting too much and no nap time.

It’s a company that makes billions of dollars shipping your toys and products to where it’s going. 
Even with the real life company I work with, they only give me between short term and the 6 week FMLA before the axe.


James Droegemeyer let's see UPS offers free health insurance, excellent insurance for the whole family free and a fourth year driver makes $100k a year.Union dues are barely anything compared to what health insurance would cost.Even pt employees get free health insurance after 9 months for the whole family.Fed Ex and Amazon ,Same jobs and nowhere near the same pay and have to pay for health insurance out of their check.Fed Ex employees can get fired at will,UPS they need a valid reason and serious contract violation(multiple call outs is one of them).Drivers at UPS mainly go by seniority,you start in the warehouse.Fed Ex Drivers can be hired off the street and if a managers buddy needs a job they can skip over you as much as they want.UPS has a decent contract and not all unions are equal.UPS also has a strike fund in place,full pension after 30 years.
