Nikki Ham That is why you arrest them. During a pre-trial phase of a criminal case, the court will always order a probation department investigation including a psych eval and a drug and alcohol assessment. Once it is determined they have problems using the guidelines established by the AMA, they can be offered the chance to receive treatment and get their lives back on track. If they refuse, they can go to San Quentin with the other people who refuse to become productive members of society. Look up what is happening in the Tenderloin. This stuff is going to stop. I have no concern about unlawful detention. Make the detention lawful, re-criminalize vagrancy and remove these people from society.

Stephen Vice And yet my cousin just renovated his downtown house and is still there. And my brother is in Alameda across the bay. So again, generalizing is always an interesting exercise. Many big companies are moving to smaller buildings or shutting down. Someone just complained about the same thing in Chicago. But there are many reasons for these issues including the pandemic and people working from home. They've discovered they can live anywhere and continue to work. So the buildings just aren't needed. This is an issue. Homeless people is an issue that needs some good solutions. If you have one than maybe you should offer it up. I wish you all the luck.

Nick Rule No, I worked with my kindergartners and 1st graders on developing their skills in an appropriate manner. But her name is Pelosi, just thought I’d point that out. I may have known, but I also believe it’s important and respectful to use the correct name. Sorry if that was inappropriate for you. I don’t have a rebuttal to the original statement as I he never answer why he felt that way. It was an interesting solution to an ongoing issue in many cities and states. It’s not new, I was there about 45 years ago and people were sleeping on the streets. It’s really too bad we can’t find someway to assist them and maybe provide affordable housing. But I’m not sure you care.

Everyone wanted wealth and income equality. This is how that begins. No one is having fun in the current economy. But this is one example of a total wipeout of hundreds of millions of dollars of equity ultimately owned by high net worth individuals.

We will see more of this.

Wages are still growing, no not fast enough, but growing, especially for blue collar working class Americans.

The wealthy are seeing their asset values get crushed.

No one is talking about this, but the actions of the federal reserve are starting to unwind the devastating inequality of this country one small step at a time.

Raffi Manougian Yes, unfortunately, you are right. The world can be a very challenging and unfair place, and the negative actions of others can have a significant impact on our mental health and wellbeing. However, it's important to remember that there are also many positive and kind-hearted individuals in this world who strive to make a difference and spread love and compassion. We may not be able to change the entire world, but we can make a positive impact in our own lives and the lives of those around us through small acts of kindness and positivity. We can choose to focus on the good in people and situations rather than letting the negative consume us.

Rosemarie Ebner Mroczkowski The adjustment is done every year, as it states. Ot has nothing to donwith President Biden. It prevents bracket creep, which keeps people from falling into a higher bracket. And you're changing the goal posts. You literally said your higher taxes were due to President Biden implementing higher taxes. All you've done is to prove yourself ignorant of how the tax brackets are determined AND a liar. Go away. Once I find someone is a liar, they've lost all credibility and any right to respect. Educate yourself liar.

On a yearly basis the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) adjusts more than 60 tax provisions for inflation to prevent what is called “bracket creep.” Bracket creep occurs when people are pushed into higher income tax brackets or have reduced value from credits and deductions due to inflation, instead of any increase in ...

Karlie Brown ????
San Francisco is RAMPANT with crime !
Some family members that recently vacationed there had their car DESTROYED at a hotel parking lot & they were robbed !
I know of people that were savagely attacked in the afternoon there , where nobody did anything !
Now why this is happening?
The cost of living is obscenely high there with soaring homelessness & people starving . While government just proposes more SENSELESS solutions that accomplish NOTHING !
Out of despair many turn to drugs & then steal to support their addictions and downwardly the city spirals into an abyss of NOTHING !

Lucy Johnston There has been a fallout of businesses leaving San Francisco, and yes they are citing rising crime. Who is responsible for the rising crime? The elected officials, who happen to be democrat. They are not prosecuting theft, resulting in high retail theft, resulting in retailers pulling out of San Francisco at a high rate.

San Fran has become a much less desirable place to visit because of the high crime and homelessness, resulting in less demand at these hotels. The locals will tell you San Fran isnt in good shape. The homelessness is a result of California declaring themselves a sanctuary state, inviting the homeless in without a plan to accommodate. The government, whom are democrats, are directly responsible for the cause and effect on the homeless problem. Are you understanding yet?

CJ Hohn win win except the homeless don't want housing with any kind of rules at all. They aren't giving up doing whatever they want to go live in some converted high rise where they have to be sober or have a curfew or clean up after themselves.
Win win except for commercial real estate tanking and businesses leaving CA - put increased burden on whatever tax payers are left. So actually the whole thing is a lose lose. It's called detroitification which refers to the destruction of a city by draining and running out all of its taxpayers. Replace a business thats bringing in money - with a program that demands money instead, not smart.

10ºKaren Boka Wallace Wow - that was full of ....... nothing. Have you ever lived in California? Have you ever been to California? I live here. Have for the last 35 years. California offers more to this country than most states. Agriculture, technology, manufacturing etc. Your comment is riddled with political talking points. Drugs/crime/homelessness happens just about everywhere in this country. You can't act like it doesn't exist in other places. Look at Florida - Desantisville - high homeless rates and every other story starts with "Florida man......" followed by some ridiculous crime or darwin award action. So before you start throwing out what you heard on Fox and Friends - step outside your own house and look at your own communities. I bet they are far from perfect.
