GOP keeps the Senate. Now comes the hard part.

That was a (potential) result of the ‘16 election, not what people voted for... just like gridlock is these result of the voting results, not what people voted for.
In 2016, voters voted the way they did because they were damned tired of the status quo & watching YUPPY, urban dwellers being the focus while rural & working class folks essentially got shafted every single year. They’re the folks who send their kids to the military, who pay their taxes, who work every damned day of their lives with little to no reward later/ever. They hoped Mr Trump would change things around in their favor. They also hoped that Mr Trump would become more presidential & more dignified after taking office. I don’t think anyone expected him to be such a diehard, wilful, divisive douchebag for the duration of his term(s).

It’s vital to look objectively at the realities of our nation & to figure out how we move forward in ways that will benefit more folks, not solely certain groups (the same ones every single year). If you want Mr Trump out, then you’ve got two major tasks ahead:
1). Finding a candidate with a worthwhile platform & record
2). Reaching ALL the voters, not just one side or the other. Offending people is counterproductive to your goal. Understanding Trump voters is imperative to reaching them.

Good luck.
The way you speak to people, I seriously doubt you have a chance in hell. Let’s hope there are cooler, more rational, more intelligent people working toward that goal.

I noticed a comment the other day that said the internet should have never been allowed in the 'country'. Rural people were lower than whale shit on this day, as far as they were concerned. If I was an American I would lost my mind on that commenter. Am I a bad person for choosing to live in an area that requires the acceptance of wide open spaces? Should I speak out against obvious hypocrites? Cornfields, pasture, and a lake is what I see every day. What these people don't understand are the similarities between them and the bovines that never leave the barn. Watching the news this morning tells me "cheques and balances", is more of the same.

Steady as she goes, 239. (EDIT) You don't have to respond as I've put BN at the bottom of my short list of sites to visit. Take care.

Depending on how many House seats switch in the end, this may be the best possible outcome for Trump.

A narrow Dem majority in the House won't do all of the things the far left wants done (Medicare for All, free college, impeachment) because it won't have the votes but it will do investigation after investigation that, like in the Obama administration, doesn't do much other than harden opposition to Congress wasting time and money.

So Trump gets someone to run against who is attacking him (his preferred mode) and Dems spend their time fighting over how liberal to be and investigating Trump.

Unless a bombshell comes from Mueller (possible) or a committee finds something huge (unlikely), it's all good news for Trump. After all, he had no material legislative agenda anyway. Now he just blames Dems in Congress for being unwilling to work with him.

Not saying I agree with it but I think it's a very good outcome for Trump politically, far better than a narrow Republican House majority.

"We are a collection of sovereign states not sovereign cities."... YUP!!! But those Cities are IN STATES... States that get Less Representation than States that don't have the Population of 3 Square Blocks of many Cities... Blue states are GROSSLY UNDER REPRESENTED In the Senate...

"States would never had joined the union if they were giving up their ability to govern and to be represented at a federal level."... Sorry Rural States FAIL to have enough Population to have a WHAT SHOULD BE EQUAL REPRESENTATION In the Senate but Senate Nominations of Presidential Appointees and Passing of Legislations DOES NOT REPRESENT THE WISHES OF THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY.... It Represents the Wishes of the FEW...

I think how we pick Senators should be Overhauled through Constitutional Amendment … I think a State should at least have the Population of 3 Million to get 1 Senator with a Cap of 2 Senators per state or YES!!!!!! COMBINATION OF STATES.... Why should 3 Rural Red states that are Connected by Ideology and Geography get the MORE Representation than 1 Blue one???

Dude enough.... The Terms were Coined by Several different People Specifically French Geographer ( Jean Gottmann) BUT NOT MYSELF.... You see I READ whereas You Skim

"Megalopolis" was used to describe the areas from Boston to Washington DC, nicknamed "Boswash," Gottmann also noted several other megalopoli emerging in the United States. These areas are: Chi-Pitts, the areas of urban clustering from Chicago to Pittsburgh, which includes the cities of Chicago, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, and Indianapolis. SanSan, another emerging megalopolis, describes the area from San Diego to San Francisco. SanSan includes the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area as well. Another recent developing megalopolis of note is Cascadia, which is the region from Portland, Oregon to Vancouver BC..;cuid=3677626" rel="nofollow noopener" title="" target="_blank" class='link_art' rel='nofollow' >

The Government sees these areas as "Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area (CMSA)" U.S. government classification term for an area consisting of two or more overlapping or interlocking urban communities (known as primary metropolitan statistical areas) with a total population of at least one million...
Dude... I really don't want to keep speaking on this since you seem to want to Focus on Semantics... BosWash IS REAL, ChiPitts IS REAL, SanSan IS REAL and they are Mostly Very Blue...

I agree, he probably WILL refuse to testify and well he should. The house has work to be done and getting their panties in a nit over a waste of time in trying to impeach and have it rejected by the Senate is absurd.

Furthermore, if they do, they run a great risk in loosing the miniscule margin of majority. One seat is nothing. In fact, if I were President Trump, I would be looking among their number to make a presidential appointment, forcing a special election. Two such with the GOP heavily focused upon them and the house flips again.

"Under Trump's watch, national debt tops $21 trillion for first time ever"

How hypocritical of you since under Obama the national debt was doubled with an additional 9 TRILLION in debt.

"The landmark comes shortly after Congress passed, and Mr. Trump signed, a suspension on the federal debt limit last month, allowing the government to borrow an unlimited amount of money until March 1, 2019."

Yes, many things are possible when you have TWO houses cooperating with the president, not just one. It also shows that the GOP isn't willing to shut down the government when there is important work to be done vs shutting down the government because the democrats just want to fill the spending bill with pork.

I will go straight to source instead
