1ºMelissa Flick never said I didn’t agree which is why I find it hilarious that people are losing their crap over my comment. I actually started my sentence with “while I agree”…BUT! Other cases of wasted resources have gained national attention and those people should have at the least been fined for false reports. Since I have energy already running high lemme just add that I also find it funny that when mental health is called into question as a possible motive for this situation people call BS however let a mass shooting happen and that’s the FIRST thing out peoples mouths. Isn’t that interesting?!
And one last thing..let’s not act like people who look like her always gain this much attention..
2ºKatie Fischer I’m calling it out. Especially those gloating in the face of this sad situation. Because it was a black woman the loud voices jumped to it being a hoax. Previously people of color who went missing didn’t make headlines until they were already gone for a week or longer and loved ones start getting vocal on other stories getting attention. Here we had a missing person who happened to be black and people couldn’t wait for 1 piece of evidence before claiming it was lie. I don’t remember people questioning Gabby Petito missing even though the entire reason they took the trip was for social media views. Instead numerous online groups popped up of arm chair detectives researching any rumor and found a timeline the police hadn’t even uncovered. But this time that energy was put into finding any shred of a hint it was a lie. And how quick the gloating has started even though all we have now is police speculation hoping to put public pressure on Carlee and/or the family for Carlee to speak again with police.
Yes I’m calling it as I see it and I’m not scared to do so. It’s one thing to wonder about it being a hoax and being glad there’s no danger to the public. It’s a whole different energy to demand it be a hoax and JUMP to gloat and rub it in “I told you so”
You’ve already proven lack of empathy. You’ve proven your own lack of intelligence in not knowing the difference between sympathy and empathy. I have no doubt you lack the ability to understand your own actions and take personal accountability
3ºThe details of this case really aren’t important to me or the general public if there isn’t a threat. The article doesn’t have to go into details about what lies this woman may have told, but if the police believe the pattern of events is different than what was reported, they SHOULD tell everyone there is no public threat. People make bad choices, some people aren’t right in the head, that’s really not national or even local news.. but to leave parents thinking kids are being used as bait and to leave the population believing there are brazen abductors loose is a problem.
4ºKatie Fischer what evidence do you have that she faked it? There’s lots of speculations and TONS of misinformation online but no one has any proof that she faked anything. We know she disappeared from the side of the highway. Why, how, what happened to her for 2 days that she was missing…we don’t know. We do know that when she did turn up EMS deemed it necessary to take her to the hospital AND the hospital deemed it necessary to keep her overnight for observation. Kidnapping, mental health break, whatever I’m glad she is home, alive, and safe. That was not a given.

Looks like she was cutting ties with her current life and family, which makes me wonder about her current safety. However I’ve watched far to many stomp their feet and cry their heads off “it’s a hoax” with no facts to point to that. Simply the first time a BIPOC individual got national attention so quickly for going missing (that’s what the police bulletin was for a missing person). And now y’all gonna eat it up with the “I told you”. I never denied the possibility. I just didn’t pass judgement without evidence like y’all. I still have enough empathy to recognize that something was so wrong in her life that she thought the best way to fix things was to runaway. It could have ended very very different and I’m glad she returned home so everyone knows she’s alive. Now hopefully she can get whatever help she needs to get herself healthy and to safe space. But y’all gonna make sure her life is ruined completely because you didn’t get enough negative energy yet
6ºDarlene Johnson yes I know but the child might of been a trap to get women to stop , this could of been a father with a child and even possibly a father and mother team , there are so many things going on in the world that that would not surprise me at all , these kind of people are all around us but our minds don’t understand or think in that way but what I have seen and heard and experienced in the case that I am doing is wow my mind was  innocent and did not see what is out there in the world among us all , prayers that it is just all a good ending and all came home safe if not the consequences are what they are .

Why does she still have to have the snacks PEOPLE PICK OUT THE WEIRDEST ANALYSIS WHEN BECOMING THE FBI (Facebook bureau of investigation’s) SHE HAS NOT SAID SHE WAS KIDNAPPED! This was what was said once she went missing. Missing does not mean kidnapped true enough it may be a mental health situation BUT SHE DIDNT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT BEING ABDUCTED! And tell me how fast she could go missing in 5 minutes (after her 911 call) did she wear a cape and fly away since we are telling her story before she does
8ºGOD IS TRUTH ! & he WILL reveal ALL ! I knew this story was fishy ! & I knew In due time he would reveal the Truth ! She lied! & wasted so many ppl time & money that by the way they will NEVER see again ! She should b held accountable! This is a ridiculous! & selfish thing to do ! It’s women and children whom are indeed missing & living this very thing she lied about ! How dare her ! May the lord have mercy on her ! SMH . You will surely reap what you sow.
9ºMental breaks are just that, a break, a snap. What they are not is premeditated, stealing supplies from your job, stopping for snacks, Google searches on how to steal, one way bus tickets, abduction movies, cut off age & price of Amber Alerts. This is not a mental health issue. It is selfish & attention seeking. The entire country was praying for her. Her poor family and what she put them through. From City, County, State, FBI, & Secret Service who all worked non stop to find her. Her community that organization searches & prayer vigils. She has some explaining to do, some accountability to accept, & some apologies to make. I really feel for families of others whose loved ones did not receive this much attention or help who never made it home.

Well, yeah. It’s called humanity. I’ve lost enough, and I’ve seen families demolished by missing persons cases that turned out with the person violently murdered. So both scenario specific AND in general, I do tend to go by this. It goes back to that empathy chip you’re missing.
Your anger and outrage that people are glad she didn’t turn up dead is beyond disturbing. Do better.
