Inside the ‘village with no men’

The Kenyan village of Umoja was founded by women, for women -- no men are allowed to enter. The community acts as a safe space for girls and women who are survivors of sexual violence, as well as those escaping child marriage or female genital mutilation.

1ºAdrian Zago I have seven! None of my children want children in a country that doesn't respect women, children, and families. We are fortunate enough to live in the Northeast where at least our citizens get 12 weeks of paid family leave to spend with their newborn but most of the country doesn't get that. Not to mention the fact that my children age 31 to 11 have begged politicians to do something about the massive amount of gun violence and the fact that they have had to go to school through metal detectors with clear book bags and no lockers just because adults love their guns more than their children.
