2ºMatthew H Allen The southern border was a problem long before Ukraine, and will continue be a problem until Congress gets serious and revises the laws on immigration and asylum. Something tells me you don't have the foggiest idea what the laws say now, and why the courts have overturned policy after policy developed by presidential administrations going back for decades. At any rate, it's exceeding disingenuous to suggest that immigration problems should impede the world's efforts to assist Ukraine in defending itself from tyranny. And you shouldn't even mention immigration until you know what US Code does and does not allow in matters of border enforcement. But Republicans L-O-V-E to use immigration as way to drive fear in their voter base, and they don't want real immigration reform. If they did, they'd have introduced reform legislation themselves instead of blocking blocking every reform Democrats have tried to pass.

Meanwhile, it is cheaper BY FAR for the US if Ukraine can hold Putin using weapons supplied by many other countries in addition to the US. If he takes Ukraine, he'd eventually go after Poland or the Baltic countries, since he yearns to reassemble the USSR. And those are NATO nations, meaning WWIII and US troops with boots on the ground. Ready for the draft to be reinstated? Because that's what happens if there's a genuinely major conflict in Europe.

The well-known American journalist Clayton Morris said that the sale of children and organs is flourishing in Ukraine.
