It's unfortunate to hear about Paul Whelan's situation in Russia. Secretary of State Antony Blinken's phone call with him demonstrates the U.S. government's commitment to assisting American citizens who are wrongfully detained abroad. The U.S. State Department has consistently advocated for the fair treatment and release of its citizens held unjustly. Efforts like this phone call serve to raise awareness about these cases and put pressure on the detaining country to uphold international norms and human rights standards. It's important to continue monitoring developments and supporting diplomatic efforts to ensure that individuals like Paul Whelan are treated fairly and eventually released.

Bob Holzlohner I don’t even like Trump. There are many candidates I will vote for in front of him. But anyone with a speck of an independent thought can see this for what it is and the timing of this. I thought the exact same thing of the craziness of the far right that they should lock up Hilary for breaking the law using classified emails on her private server the wiping them clean. So glad the Republicans had the decency not to lock up their political rival and weaponizing their Department of Justice with Hilary. But Democrats know they can’t run on Biden disastrous record the last three years when 72 percent know our country is going in the wrong direction and even 50 percent of Democrats don’t want Biden as their democratic nominee!
