1ºI am one of those who, up until I was 18, was born into. and raised in small towns. And they were NOT the way that Jason Aldean made a song about either. The last "small town" I lived in, was in northern Illinois, and no it had no connections to Chicago either. I remember a Doctor, a Lawyer, the local Police officer, and the Mayor. The four of them lived in great big houses, large properties, and considered themselves as "FIRST CLASS" over and above ALL others. Except that in a large city, they would barely be equal to third class steerage passengers. That's the easiest way to describe an accurate picture of them. These people were mostly responsible for the fact that no Blacks lived within the city limits. They made Mayberry, South Carolina look like a tropical luxury resort.
Suffice it to say, that these four had a sort of fiefdom, until the 60's smacked them straight in the face. It took a couple of years, but by the time I entered boot camp, these four were so isolated, that even the moles left them alone. All four families eventually left town.

3ºTim Behen Liberals: People who focus on facts, data, and evidence tend to be progressive, left, liberal. So you find lots of them in higher education. Liberals also propose policies that help ordinary folks like Medicare, Social Security, and Family Medical Leave.
Right wingers are paranoid and fall for pseudoscience, propaganda, conspiracy theories, and disinformation. They don’t understand data, facts, and evidence, so they tend to avoid higher education. That is not the fault of colleges and universities. That just reflects the pitiful intellect of right wingers. Right wingers only propose tax cuts for the rich, at the expense of ordinary working Americans.
